Small tea room behind the post office. There were tables outside but we chose to sit inside. Of the few tables they had a couple were already reserved, but the young lady told us, that as long as we were finished by 10:30, we could sit at one of those, so we did. We ordered 2 full English breakfasts, a fruit juice and a large latte, our requirements were met with a friendly manner. Our drinks came to our table quickly, there was a slight delay on the breakfasts, but given the size of the cooking area, it’s understandable. Despite ordering mine with fried egg, it came with poached, which isn’t too much of a drama. Although the breakfast was tasty, it wasn’t very hot. The bill was reasonably priced. We timed our visit perfectly, because as we were leaving a large group of cyclists turned up which I can imagine would be a logistical nightmare in such a small kitchen. No cakes were on display, only scones. We will give the Cartshed another go in the future,...

Having visited here a couple of weeks ago during the week with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food I decided to invite a few friends to come with me today, upon arrival I could see they were busy and expected a wait but we weren’t even acknowledged, not even good morning or anything. We eventually got asked for our order but after finishing our coffee and waiting for ages and being there for 1 hr and 10 minutes I asked how long our food would be we we’re told she’s about to start our order ! We were about to leave when told it would be 10 minutes so agreed to hang on as the 5 of us were starving! 20 minutes later and after being there for 1 1/2 hours we left hungry and I was embarrassed to have recommended the place! Such a shame as the couple of ladies who served us previously couldn’t have been more friendly and...

We visited The Cartshed for breakfast at the end of an amazing weeks holiday in nearby Castle Acre. As soon as we walked through the door, the welcome was warm and incredibly friendly. Between us, we ordered Bacon Baps, a Full English and Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs on Toast with Tea, Hot Chocolate and an Americano. All the food was tasty and beautifully prepared using quality local produce and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A special mention must go to the staff for turning out fantastic quality food quickly and efficiently from such a small kitchen - while still smiling! We couldn’t resist taking some Home-Made Shortbread and Lemon Polenta Cake home with us - delicious with a coffee after a long drive home. We hope to return to the area again and will definitely come back to...

Our group of 3 had lunch and cakes here. Fresh, full and flavoursome sandwiches and a ploughman’s, beautifully presented with great service. Fresh tap water was provided on request (it was 30c when we visited!) along with coffee, Earl Grey tea and peppermint tea. Toilet facilities were fresh and clean. We sat outside and tables seemed a little close but given the location, quite acceptable. Altogether a great experience and one to be repeated, highly recommended.
