The Copper Kettle — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

On a day trip to Hunstanton we got there at lunch time. After looking at a few options, we settled on The Copper Kettle You're asked if you want to eat in or take out. We ate in and sat inside rather than outside as it was a cold day.

My wife ordered a baked potato with cheese and beans that came with a bit of salad. I ordered a traditional Cornish Pasty and a Cheese toasty. What I got was the Pasty and a Cheese and Ham toasty. They were happy to correct my order but so as not to waste food I said I'd have the cheese and ham toasty instead.

The lady in the kitchen even came out to apologise for the mistake. I insisted it was not a problem as I think I had a better toasty than I would have if it had just been a cheese toasty.

Mistakes happen and the place had just got busy so I wouldn't hold it against them in any way.

If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely visit again.

I’ve visited the copper kettle many times, although I’ve not eaten hot food and only had cake or coffee, I can’t praise the staff enough, kind, polite and courteous.. the coffee is so good and I’m really picky with coffee. I see often reviews slating the younger staff which I find very sad, as I feel they do a really good job and we were all young once, we learn as we go yes? My opinion is it’s a welcoming cafe, great staff.. so maybe cut them a little slack before spouting nasty or rude comments on the internet. Date of Visit: 05/03/2024 - The young blonde girl making the coffees and delivering them to the tables was excellent ! She had everything under control even though the cafe was practically full, so well done to her.
