As I had a long wait to see the consultant in AEC, we were given a beeper to let us know when to go back. We decided to visit the Hub for some lunch. I had cauliflower cheese, my husband had a cheese salad sandwich, crisps and a tea and coffee. The bill was £9.05.I had just tasted my meal, it was cold and there was no sign of cheese. I was going to take it back when my beeper went off for me to go back to clinic. We scraped my meal into a take away box, got cardboard cups for our drinks and returned to clinic. I was really disappointed with the food and will certainly not return to the hub. Future visits will include a packed lunch...

It is a place we could be together away from the ward and get a decent cup of coffee and something to eat. There was no pressure to vacate the tables and we were there all day while taking turns to go to the ward (which did have a family area with room for about seven).
