The India Gate — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Arrived at 7 pm last night . Only1 other couple in there was seated straight away . With a heater blower pointing at us . Was cold in there . We had to go and ask young male waiter on (his phone ) if we could have some drinks as we was waiting 15 minutes . Then he put menus on table and said do u know what u want I said give us chance to look. Ordered onion bargies for 2 . Came with no mint sauce . So he had forgot it . 3 times asked for table water. When he brough water wss 2 botyke and 2 full glasses . As like it was u want water have loads .Still on his phone Main meal came was nice .but my friends said his wasn't very hot . When we finished he took plates brought the bill. Wasn't asked if we wanted deserts or coffee .never going back again. .Monday...

The family and I have ordered from here a few times . First Indian takaway I have tried and I love the chicken and mushroom biriyani, its very filling, big portion and delicious. My partner and mum love the korma and order it every time. Delivery is usually quite good, never been later than estimated time of arrival. The chips are also very nice. The only issue we have had is the naan bread either comes soggy or burnt in delivery but its not a big issue. Thursday night is banquet night,so this time I treated a couple of our engineering contractors to a night out. My guests had not dined at the India Gate before, so it was a interesting to see how they would like the experience. Needless to say, we kept things simple and all went with the banquet meal special and were all liking the variety of dishes available. We had a great night, the food was all very good. The staff were attentive and polite, looking after us very well. We enjoyed our meals, the company and hospitality, with not any complaints. We would recommend this restaurant without any...
