We came here for some lunch as it was one of the higher rated pubs in the area and seemed like a nice place but it was quite a rubbish experience in the end. The service was awful - a girl on the bar was one of the rudest and worst customer experiences ive ever had. She was genuinely not bothered and clearly had no interest in serving customers. We ordered a couple of pints and some water to which she rolled her eyes and huffed, she didn't give a reply and in the end she couldn't be bothered to get us water so just didn't, even though we asked her twice, she just ignored us so we gave up. It wasn't busy so it was just super awkward, bar staff seemed more interested in talking to each other (some of the other staff in the restaurant area were nicer and friendlier so could've just been the one bad apple) The toilets were terrible, messy and none of the taps worked. The food is overpriced £14-16 for very standard pub food. There's plenty of seating in the place - indoor and out, but seemed pretty quiet not much atmosphere but the outdoor seating does have views of the sea. Few ales on tap which were alright but overall the pub isn't anything special. We left and went to a cafe a short walk away on the beach which was far far nicer. In short, I wouldn't recommend this pub at all.

An absolutely fantastic place right next to the beach. I ordered the chilli con carne, and my friend ordered the chicken salad with prawn crackers (both pictured). The food came quickly, and it was delicious. The only thing to note is that the prices can fetch between £10 and £20 per meal, and you have to get your own cutlery, but other than that, it is absolutely amazing, and a place that you cannot miss!

Group of 7, burgers and steak were fine other meals average. The fish finger sandwich was disgusting - cold, grey, compressed tasteless mush. Had to leave more than half. There was quite a long wait between the first 2 meals coming out and the rest. Nice location and may go for a drink in the sunshine, but don't think I'd go back for food

Firstly I chose this as it has sea views and a lovely outside area. However, yes the view was nice but the tables were wonky (moved 3 times) and grubby. We ended up putting a folded up menu under the leg..... The menu in my opinion for what we experienced was expensive.. My son had the burge. It was described as local beef and for a burger expensive. When i ordered at the bar to the waiter who was swearing at the pump and moaning to his friend , I felt more of a pain in the bum rather than a customer! He had absolutely no manners whatsoever. He poured the drinks (i asked what ciders they had ) there were two, he gave no indication that one was red berries , i expected apple, but too late they were poured, i asked for a tray he said they were all out, there was on the bar to the left of me with empties on it, his friend suggested i have that one and proceeded to clear it with my help...my waiter stood looking at me with a bored expression. I asked if the burger came with anything, I was shocked that cheese bacon etc were added at an extra 1.90 each. So this burger ended up costing me over £20.00 . Got to be good then? Wrong. It was grey and pithy and had no grill marks on it at all. This was refunded by a polite member of staff so that was OK. However it ruined our experience. My daughter had the veggy burger which consisted of a burger, dry bun and slice of generic tasteless tomatoes an inch thic with frozen chips , both came with a dry and unappetising side salad with no dressing or choice of dressings.... I hade beef and ale pie...the pie was standard pub pie , frozen chips with hard pale green peas! Absolutely overpriced for low quality pub grub. I certainly will not return to this place. I honestly can't believe the good reviews as when we left there were not many clean plates waiting to be removed.i left feeling inadequate as we wanted good food and a relaxing end to our day.... as I love good food and cook from scratch everyday, it's disappointing when the menu is relatively expensive for what's on offer and it's not good. Very disappointed and...

Sadly my family had a very poor experience, the food was very average. Bland pub food which is overpriced, compared to many of the other places to eat in the local area. Where it was went wrong was the service.

We paid for all food and drinks at the bar and were charged a 10% discretionary service charge. Had we have known how awful the service was we would not have paid it.

Staff at the bar appeared uninterested, spent most of the time chatting to each other and did not know what was available on the menu. Our food order was wrong and after some awkward shuffling and mumbling from the wait staff the correct meal arrived but without an apology.

After the meal no one cleared our plates and we had to move them to another table, the restaurant and bar were not busy. After some time a different wait staff member was sent to clean the dirty plates away. We could hear them moaning to themselves about clearing the plates from where we sitting.

I would avoid this establishment and go somewhere where you are met with a warm welcome. Where the staff know the menu and know how to treat customers spending their hard...
