We had afternoon tea at the Lavender Lounge on Sunday 8th August. I booked by phone, the staff were very helpful when booking. Our daughter purchased a voucher for our Golden Wedding Anniversary almost two years ago. Due to Covid restrictions we never got round to using but the Lavender Lounge still honoured it, which was lovely. The tea was delicious, finger sandwiches, warm fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, various small cakes. And a never empty tea pot. The staff were lovely, very busy but still made time to check that we were satisfied with everything. We would recommend this place highly, but for afternoon or high tea you have to book at least 24 hours in advance. This place does get very busy, the restaurant has an extensive menu. If you manage to go there you will enjoy the experience, we did!

I visited this restaurant during storm Amy to have a cup of hot tea. The place turned out to be spacious and clean. I counted four halls and a large children’s room. In one of the halls, guests were pleasantly warmed by a modern fireplace. The restaurant has three entrances — which I found very convenient. I ordered tea and a croissant: the dishes were clean, and the staff was polite. Next to the restaurant, there is a shop offering a variety of products made at a local lavender farm. I especially recommend trying the lavender jam — it has a delicate aroma and pleasant taste. Overall, the place left a very good impression. It’s comfortable and safe for solo travelers, and I recommend it.

Visited Norfolk Lavender on the way to the seaside this weekend! It was lovely but unfortunately I think we visited slightly too late in the season as most of the Lavender had been harvested. I think it would be absolutely beautiful if we had been a few months before. Found the distillery very interesting, watched a lovely lady that worked there processing the lavender and she explained how the machine she was using extracted the oil. The farm is dog friendly which was great as I took my pooch along! Definitely worth a visit!

After coming here a year ago and having such a great time, it really put the wind up our sails as this time was extremely disappointing.

We arrived just after 3pm, to find the lunch menu had finished, not a problem; we went for a (mediocre) sandwich, which came out with the wrong bread on each sandwich and the requested "no tomato" salad had one underneath, making the bread, for lack of a better word, sloppy.

Would not recommend coming here - especially after 3pm, as the staff make it quite clear that the staff don't want you to be there, unless you like being sept around and have the condiments taken away from you, making you feel very unwelcome.

The best thing about this place was the family of peacocks around the cafe, which is saying something as my wife...

Decent place to eat. I had a fresh pork and blue cheese pie with tasty veggies, chips and gravy that was fantastic! My wife ordered the pepper crusted steak special that came with some onion rings and chips with salad and 'slaw. To be honest the cut of meat chosen for her steak was thick and tough, but it was cooked perfectly medium rare. I'm guessing that's what kind of steak £10 will get you. The sauce on the steak was very good though. Just like everywhere else I have eaten at in England, the 'slaw was awesome. Our childrens meals appeared to satisfy them. My wife and I found the victoria sponge cake to be a little dry but i thought it was ok. We should have tried the scones as they looked delicious. Would definitely go here again, just not getting the...
