Can honestly say this is the best place we have ever eaten and its local to us which is a bonus. Everything is home made and cooked to perfection. The chef's at the Railway really are special and there food is fantastic every single time. Presentation is perfect, very good portion size. We travel around the Uk alot and we have to say this place is still our number 1. The food really is impeccable and home cooked with a great specials board this place is a hidden gem in Norfolk its a Must visit if your in the area. The staff are so friendly and welcoming we love this place.

Update: Two years latsr, today we went to this place again. And same excellent experience. I would very much reccommend this free house. Well done to the team. Previous: 2 years ago: I stopped over this place on my drive to Brancaster beach. Excellent food. We sat outdoors with our Dog. Friendly welcoming place. Their menu is largely seafood based, from which I chose fried seabass. They have other options too. Maybe I will try them next time. I Thoroughly recommend this place and I have saved this on my starred places in my maps. Will definitely return next time.

Had some really nice food here this evening,at first glance the pub doesn't look very inviting and the bar is just a basic bar but the resteraunt area is really quite pleasant. The food is more expensive than where we are from but you can expect that being near the coast. The staff were friendly and polite ,a good experience.

We came here for the father in law's birthday meal, whilst on holiday. Having wheelchair access is usually a tricky thing to find in a country pub, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and accommodating offering us multiple seating choices. The menu was somewhat limited but the choices were all decent and at your average £11 for a main, exactly what you'd expect. The food arrived fairly promptly and everyone enjoyed their mains. I had a bread starter as well but the bread sadly was no warm and it definitely felt over priced for the quality. Generally though it was a good atmosphere with good food at decent prices. The bar area looked good and there was even a pool table for those inclined. Lastly worth noting the toilets were very clean, which isn't something I've come to expect from most pubs. Thoroughly recommend if you're...

Pleasant enough place, bar area seems to be completely separate from dining area, which is fine, limited menu, typical west Norfolk coastal pub not really really set up for local diner's more for those that invade the county for a night or two in a rental or Airbnb, so the idea of giving you something to come back for is pointless, I understand that fully so it's not a complaint it's an acceptance of how our local area has become when villages become holiday parks. Did kind of feel we were given the hurry up at 9:00pm on a Saturday night, toilets being cleaned and doors being locked is not an encouraging practice to undertake with diners still sat at the table, all in all average place, food nothing to rave about and only one cask ale , again understandable, as these places become ghost towns Monday...

Stayed in Docking for the weekend and thought we’d try the pub as it was on the doorstep and the menu looked nice online. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best experience. The drinks menus and menus were so sticky and really needed a good clean (quite off putting). The waitress was really helpful although one of the waiters was quite dismissive and walked away before you’d even finished your sentence. I ordered the fish pie which was ok but really no better than a ready meal. Other members of our group ordered the steak which was really fatty and no steak knives provided. Wanted this to be much better than it was especially...
