The Rathskeller — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

I visited the venue on a work night out on the 28th January 2023 at 6pm.On arrival thought entrance was very shabby with floor tiles peeling up, caught my foot in one. Was seated upstairs, which was very cold. Only 2 radiators covering the whole area which was a large area. The menu was rather sparse, on choosing the burger meal, which I thought was the only dish I'd want. When the food arrived, everything was fine, but thought the plate looked somewhat empty. When re checking the menu after eating, found there was onion rings, coleslaw, side salad oh and bacon from in the burger all missing!! The waitress asked if all was fine to which we replied yes. Took our grand children for a meal before they go home. Enjoying the offer made by the government. Staff were friendly and helpful..husband in a wheelchair and raining so we had to use the bar. The only customers there for a meal. The meal was very below average..basically fish and chips burger and chips and sausage and chips. How can that go wrong. Chips good fish over cooked. Mushy peas not mushy. Finally the burger awful..over filled. Soggy bun..overcooked dried out ..burger..the full cost would have been 59.50..even at half price it was overpriced..shame good location....

We had our wedding reception here, and it was absolutely perfect! The table layout was excellent, creating a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere.
