The Swan, South Wootton — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Really nice pub, well priced, x2 mains+X2 small drinks and a starter for 39£ is very good! It's very clean and traditional, loads of parking front & back, the lady who seemed to be running the whole place was really kind and helpful! The food was quite lovely, all seemed home made, the duck spring rolls and the chicken burger with chips was awesome just the portion sizes were so huge, my burger was a whole chicken breast! It was so big I couldn't pick it up without it falling all over my plate! My partners Fajita wraps were full of soggy veg unfortunately so half of it was unfortunately inedible which was a real shame as it looked lovely! I think small portions would be much better, waste saving and be much more enjoyable, the food looked and tasted lovely but I just couldn't enjoy it as it was spilling all over the table, shame because it's a fantastic pub and we will come back...

We held our Mum's funeral lunch here at the end of January. The arrangements were easy and we were shown the room where the lunch was to be held. On the day the food was laid out attractively on tables with a good variety of garnished sandwiches, sausage rolls, tartlets, pork pies and decorated cakes, flapjacks and chocolate brownies. Teas and coffees were prepared freshly for everyone. Our family and friends had plenty to eat and commented on the range and taste of the food. We were not rushed out of the venue but given as much time as we needed. At the end the staff kindly parcelled up the remaining food for us to take home. Stopped here for lunch and was very pleased we did. Service was good and from the menu I ordered the Plaice goujons with rocket, lime mayo and fries. I ordered from the lite menu but meal was still a good size, goujons were excellent full of plaice and along with the lime mayo and rocket Great combo. My wife also ordered from the lite menu and had the the Chicken, Brie & Cranberry sandwich with steak chips which she very much enjoyed but could not finish as chips were some of the biggest I've seen 😁 Drinks were coffee and coke with jug of water and the bill was just over £20.
