We stayed at The Wenns on Easter Sunday. We took our 7 and 2 year olds with us. The apartment was lovely. Spacious and airy. They had a travel cot set up in the bedroom for us, which we weren't expecting at all but very grateful for. Upon arrival the chap helping us and showing us our room was very polite and helpful. Couldn't fault the service there. We soon realised there wasn't enough towels put out for us all so my partner went down to the bar area to get some more, which was sorted. We also found later on there wasn't really enough bedding. The main bed had a duvet. The sofa bed had a flat sheet and a small blanket? Small duvet with no cover. Was definitely smaller than a single duvet. The cot had nothing but a sheet over the mattress. Luckily we had brought a fleece blanket from home (we don't like duvets), so we gave our little one in the cot the blanket for the sofa bed, our oldest the duvet for the sofa bed and we had the flat sheet and our own fleece blanket on the main bed. No real drama but definitely a bit of fuss. The bed itself was comfortable. All bedding and towels were clean. We cooked dinner in the little kitchenette. Unfortunately, most of the cutlery and pots/trays etc weren't clean so I washed them before using. Great little kitchen area. Modern with oven, fridge and even a dishwasher. The biggest downfall to the apartment was the windows. Lovely old sliding windows but my goodness they don't keep sound out. We heard every single thing happening outside and being a fairly busy area, this wasn't great. Especially with kids trying to sleep. The noise from outside really was loud. Also, the walls must be pretty thin as someone neighbouring us was snoring so loud. So so loud. So between those noises and outside noises not much sleep was had. Woke in the morning to low pressure in the boiler so no hot water. If we were staying longer I'd have mentioned it but being bank holiday no one was on site anyway. It's such a shame as it's a great apartment in a great area with great service. Few minor issue which is more attention to detail. If these were sorted for future visitors it'd be perfect. For the price it's...
