April 8th 2019 Our first time staying in Norfolk. We used Air B&B and stayed in a cosy little 60s style Chalet which had been lovingly cared for. All the mod cons including a massive king size bed made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The site on Cedar Springs was unbelievably quiet. Just a short walk and we were on the beach. I should day a massive beach once the ride goes out. This is Heacham North beach. Several times we enjoyed walking the 2.8 miles along the sand finding shell's untill.we reached Hunstanton, a small seaside place with nice shops and cafes. We needed to wrap up warm because the sea breeze especially at the time of year we went was a bit nippy (bracing they call it) lovely. We even found the placque in St Mary's church Heacham commemorating Pochohontas the South American princess who visited the county back in the day. Not many people are aware of that fact. We did make a day trip to Great Yarmouth. For us, this was indeed Not Great. Too commercialised, great for people with young families. Cromer was lovely too and we enjoyed a slow drive back along the beautiful coastline enjoying some of the quiet a even bigger beaches as we made our way back to Heacham. All on all. The week was great. Peaceful. Weather dry and sunny but chilly but that doesn't matter. Oh if you get chance be on the beach when the sun goes down to take a romantic sunset pic.

We visited the West Norfolk for lunch after a fairly windy walk from Hunstanton with the kids. We started with some drinks and then decided to have lunch there too. Was given lunch menu, but after asking found they also did a kids menu, usual options such as sausage and chips, nuggets and chips etc. The wife decided on some soup, which came with a lovely fresh (largish) roll. I had the burger, which they did apologise was supposed to come with coleslaw, but they had run out - did offer to give extra onion rings...! Food was good, the salad in the burger and the bun itself was nice and fresh tasting - the burger itself was possibly not the best, but it was OK. Wife really liked the soup, and the kids meals went down well with them. Service was good, and staff seemed friendly and helpful (we sent the young chap off a few times for ketchup!) The only thing that was noticeable on our visit was that it was a bit chilly... not so much an issue after we had eaten mind...!

Absolutely superb. I sit and write this right after the mains, whilst we wait on dessert because I couldn't wait. The food was superb, full of flavour and perfectly portioned. (Steak and burger) The service was top notch, always attentive and even gave us a free pint each for missing the starters (which wasn't a problem anyway, but very nice to be this cared for by staff!). After over-hearing certain other customers on tables parallel, their complaints were meaningless and hopefully West Norfolk don't take them to heart, and I can only commend them for being so accommodating to all, including one rather rude half of a couple (who came in well after the last booking time and seemed annoyed that the kitchen was closed), whereby the staff made special exception to make them hot food, as not to disappoint them. Overall a wonderful place and I would recommend to all! (P.s. dessert has arrived and is exceptional too! (Cheescake and sundae)).

Having booked online paying £10 deposit I requested table 2 I also phoned the week before to check my booking & also reaffirmed my request for table 2 which was confirmed for 6.30pm & when we arrived the table was occupied I was told my reservation was for table 1 so we sat at table 3 this also happened last year when we were in Norfolk the reason I request a specific table is because of our dogs. It got worse my husband wanted the gammon only to be told there’s none left, half an hour later another table near to us ordered the gammon, we questioned this??? I ordered sea bass with a lemon dressing the sauce was a very strong mustard & pepper sauce, I like mustard but not with fish! so I had to scrape it away in order to get to the sea bass after complaining I was presented with the recipe sheet, it had dijon mustard in it but I’m sure mine had a lot of English in it! Then to top it all when I asked for the bill the £10 had not been deducted I had to mention that it had been paid so a new bill was done, iv given 2 stars maybe on reflection it should be amended to 1 ⭐️ The food wasn’t worth the money paid & no...

Me my mum and the dog had a lovely meal at west Norfolk this afternoon whilst on holiday in Heasham. Very friendly staff greeted us and frequently checked everything was perfect for us. I ordered the 12” rock Parma pizza which I found was delicious, fresh and full of plenty of toppings. My mum ordered the garden pizza which was vegetarian yet also absolutely delightful. We also ordered a side of crispy onion rings and a side of fries. My favourite thing about the west Norfolk was the dog deli, dogs are welcome outside and also have a variety of options to order for our four legged fury friends. We bought our dog a butchers sausage and meat roll which she loved and kept her very busy whilst we ate. Me and my mum sat at a very cute rustic table outside with twinkling lights. We couldn’t finish all the pizza as it was very large so our waitress bought us a pizza box so we can enjoy the left overs at home. Over all it was a lovely meal and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Also locals and other holiday makers very friendly which gives off a very warm and comfortable...
