My wife and I went there at the weekend for some late breakfast, the view from the conservatory of the seaside was very nice. Having to go to the bar section to order drinks and then go to a separate counter to order food was a bit odd but obviously not a massive hassle. The staff member said I can get our own cutlery from the boxes by the counter, however I think a group had recently come in and had put all their used cutlery back in with the clean as quite a few of the knives and forks were covered in bits and crumbs. My wife had the chef's special cod, and I had the scampi. Both were absolutely delicious, you can really tell the difference between freshly catch fish and 'fresh frozen'. The batter on the cod remained crispy throughout, even on the bottom where it would normally go a bit mushy, worth returning to Hunstanton just for that. There are multiple car parks next door and opposite, they are quite pricey but that is not the restaurant's fault.

So the food was good and the view was amazing but sadly the staff were not friendly, at all we waited at the door for 10 minutes asked one of the staff that walked past, if there were any tables or how long it would take for a table to be free in which. He did not respond by telling us he just put his 1 finger to shush us and walked away. At this point i wanted to leave but my girlfriend told me to just wait ,but i can say one gentleman ,that sadly i do not know his name just that he was wearing a black and yellow triangle mask and is the only reason i bumped up the score to a 2 ,plus the good food, but i think because this place is situated in the best spot for a sunset on the beach ,they think that they can act like this ,because people come to see the sunset ,sadly i will not be coming back to this bar in the future and i hope anyone going to this restaurant have a better experience than we did .

We always pop in here when visiting Hunstanton for a great value & very nice lunch, quickly served by friendly & helpful staff. Whilst we usually opt for the very fresh & huge 'fish & chips' there is an extensive menue on offer. I have to say we have never been disapointed with the food we're served. There's is a nice dining sun veranda, looking out over the beach, where well behaved dogs are allowed, which is very handy. Interesting to note there is currently an outdoor dining area being constructed that will look out to sea and be great fun to eat at. Looking forward to that this summer. I would like to thank the staff for helping me rectify my food order, ref confusion over 'plate of chips & not place & chips' & being refreshingly honest & helpful offering a full refund I'd not even thought of!! We will definatly be back time & time again!!

We went in here for a breakfast after seeing a sign sayin "food served all day". Found a table and looked at the menu to find "all day" doesn't include breakfast, and food is served from 11am. It was almost 11am so we decided to stay anyway as we were really hungry after travelling from the Midlands. Being the vegetarian of the group, I couldn't see any vegetarian options so went to the bar to ask if there were any substitutions. A lady came out from the back and I asked her if they did any vegi sausages. There was no greeting or smile and I was abruptly told no. I found her attidude very rude. Disappointed, I asked if anywhere nearby did vegetarian breakfasts and she showed me a place a lot further up the prom, but too far for us to go as some of us had mobility issues, so I thanked her anyway and went back to my group. We decided to stay anyway. At 11am we went to order. I asked for the sausage, egg and chips, but asked if I could have the sausages taken off and have beans and mushrooms from the side menu put on instead. Abruptly again I was told "we don't do swaps". No offer of a solution (I could have had the sausages and given them to my friends?) but, because she was again, rude and unhelpful I told her to forget it! She said something snappy back and then I told her about herself. I was told I'd been rude first! I'm 50 and have never in my life had anyone in a restaurant tell me I'm rude! I've worked in catering and retail and know how people should treated. I've never encountered such a miserable, rude and unhelpful member of a customer service team, ever. I can only assume she was the owner, as if I had a member of my team like that, they would not be in the role for long! Anyway, she told me to "just leave!". I apologised to my friends and we all walked out. Absolutely awful experience. Avoid,...

Absolutely the most rudest staff I've ever come across. My partner and I visited there today. After waiting by the sign that says 'wait here to be seated' for over 10 minutes and having two servers walk past us clearing tables but completely ignoring us, my partner walked to the bar and asked if we still had to wait. He explained that there was a queue and and that neither of the staff had even acknowledged us. The bar man was very rude with his response and at that point we considered leaving. We actually waited a few more minutes only to have a server come over and very abruptly say in my face, put your mask on! My partner was wearing his and I showed my exemption to which he replied, if you don't have a mask you can't come in. I said again that I am exempt and his response was 'tough' I thought if you had a valid exemption then you were allowed in? Not only did we leave at that point but also the family of five who were behind us walked out too. The whole of one side of the outside terrace was empty apart from one table and nearly all of the other side. There were more than half of the tables in the conservatory empty too so these people were not that busy that they didn't have time for a little manners. We were in here last August and a female server had no problem letting me in with my lanyard so maybe the manager of this place needs to do some training and get all the staff on the same page. We've never been treated so badly as potential paying customers. Would not recommend. To many other places happy to treat you with respect in Hunstanton. The waterfront is all view and...

On entering the pub we should have turned around and left no friendly welcome and when we asked someone what the system was orders at till, but as our teenagers were hungry we decided to stay. Ordered food and orange juices at till and was rudely told drinks will be ready at the end of the bar.The bar it’s self was dimly lite so when I returned to sit my daughters glass was filthy with black bits all in the inside. When I went back to the bar and told the lad serving he gave me a filthy look and said really and then started to scratch them off and said actually they are in the inside and the glass still needs changing, he thought about just tipping the orange juice into the new glass till he saw the look of horror on my face. When the food arrived as quick as a flash it was lukewarm and greasy, the sausages were not cooked completely and there was egg shell fried eggs. The lad did not say would you like any sauces just plonked down 5 packs of tomato sauce as we sat eating two other complaints were made about dirty glasses and tables were left dirty. Also as we drank down we noticed that that all the glasses were not very clean either. The only thing that was good about the place was that the toilets were beautiful clean. May be they’d do better employing the cleaning behind the bar and bar staff as cleaners. Worst place I have...
