I am not one to usually give one star to restaurants as I have worked in one and understand the pressures involved in working there. That said, I was violently ill as soon as I got home; the food was good, but the pork wasn't cooked thoroughly enough to avoid the heavy flow of sick coming from my nose and mouth. The wait time was about 50 mins; I was diligent and noticed the older man picking up the phone and quoting the customer on the other end that the same dish I had already been waiting 30 mins for (the pad thai) would be ready within 15 mins. I still did not receive my food for another twenty minutes. By that point, my starter, which made me ill - had stopped my appetite, and by the time my page had come out, i was no longer hungry.
I was waiting as my mum ate her food, disappointed that I hadn't even touched mine. The whole time we were right next to the car and kitchen, my body was very much facing them as to elude to the question, "Is everything alright?" but no took no such interest as to why I had not touched my meal.
To top off the epic fail, when my mum asked for the bill, there were no reductions for the time it took to get our food, being met with a snarky comment from the old man saying, "50 minutes isn't that long". Not even a bloody apology!
I had high hopes of coming here after a lovely day hiking in Holmstead/Holmfirth. We seemed treated differently from other customers, which made me quite sad. I digress. It will not ruin our holiday. Overall, Yorkshire is one of the best places I've been home and abroad, and the locals have been so loverly :)
The young lad that was serving some of the time did create an excellent report to be with but could be a little more helpful and aware. But he seemed nice and was the best part of being there; I hope he does well.

Read moreWent here for the first time last week for a special occasion. Had heard mixed reviews so we were not sure what to expect and Thai food is a firm favourite so lots to live up to. To put it simply: Food was amazing. We had spring rolls (small but tasty). Prawn stir fry with basil, chill and green beans, pad Thai and massaman curry - all flavourful and cooked to perfection. The shiraz by the glass was superb and rich. Staff were well dressed in lovely traditional Thai attire, they were attentive and polite. We were not rushed off our table. A fantastic night. This small restaurant has a clean modern feel - perhaps my only disappointment as I love a traditional cultural feel, however you don't eat the decor lol, so I can't complain really - we will...
Read moreTravelled from Sheffield to Just Thai restaurant after a recommendation from a friend and wasn't disappointed.
Looks very nice and impressive from the outside and was pleased with the large customer car park
The restaurant is decorated beautifully with a great attention to detail and is absolutely spotless, the staff are very friendly and couldn't have done more for us.
The menu has plenty of choice with clear explanation of the dish if your not a Thai food regular and a large vegetarian choice which my wife was pleased with
The food is beautiful and came out quickly, fresh, well presented and tasted amazing
A really nice atmosphere and an enjoyable evening will definitely visit again...
