Purchased a Groupon Voucher for Sparkling Afternoon Tea which seemed to be exceptional value. I can see why it was on Groupon and I can see why it was so cheap as the Service was very much lacking. The food was ok. On arrival, the bar had not been set up and a poor girl seemed to be running round trying to do everything on her own. It must have taken 20-30 minutes to get a drink and sit down. I was first in the queue so you can imagine the people behind me were getting pretty impatient. Anyway I wasn't in a rush and could feel her pain so waited patiently and then went to sit on the terrace in the sunshine. Once my friend arrived, she went in to get a drink from the bar, again had the same issue, she also requested our Afternoon Tea to be brought out too. Again there was quite a long wait for this but because we both had a drink and the sun was shining it wasn't too much of an issue. Although by the time it arrived we'd finished our drinks but made no attempt to try and get another drink from the bar. Food was ok but wouldn't have been happy paying the full price for it, if you get a Groupon voucher it is worth a try but expect to wait.

I would rate my particular meal as below average. I had the Big Bad Boy Burger at just under £20 (photo added, showing the unfinished burger). The chicken element was a little overcooked. The 8oz steak burger element was far too compressed and compacted resulting in a weird texture. It was more akin to a patty than a burger. Also, it was far too well done. I make better burgers at home. Definitely not worth £20. To be fair though, others around the table found their meals satisfactory. The chocolate cake was dry (another photo added, showing the unfinished cake). Eventually, while I was paying in fact, I was asked if everything had been all right. I relayed what I've typed above. Her response - "Sorry about that." I gave the young lady a chance to add to her comment but no, nothing. So, I made sure she understood that we would not be coming back. Again, no meaningful response! It is a poor indictment when you have to leave food unfinished! All round, not good! We won't be going back again!

Called here to book a spa weekend so ended up having a coffee and food. The restaurant is very nice and modern with lots of tables available through the day on a Saturday. The cappuccino was really nice. Food we had was more snacks but was nice. Lots of carpark spaces

Just been for Christmas Dinner with my daughter, son in law and grandson. What a lovely welcome we received with a pre dinner drink and a chat with lovely friendly staff who were all smiles. 5 star service throughout. We were seated in a very comfortable booth, soup served when we were settled in. Starters next, amazing salmon roulade with 2 types of caviar or melon. Traditional turkey with trimmings, extra gravy, always welcome, beautifully prepared veg and tasty turkey. Dessert was a beautiful cheesecake and cheese and crackers. Mince pies and chocolates and coffee and a special hot chocolate with the works fir my grandson. Every member of staff worked so hard to make sure it was all perfect. It was perfect. Madeline was the perfect hostess and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone deserves credit for our 1st Christmas Dinner away from the home kitchen. Stressless, relaxed and well fed is how we felt when we left to go back home. We are thinking the same for next year. So 5 stars from me. Thank you for making the day so enjoyable. Thanks to the chef and staff for all their hard work, bar staff for very efficient service, waiting staff for still hot food. I hope you all got to go home today knowing you did a fantastic job. Thank you so much. Santa was a lovely surprise for my grandson who is 11 but still believing. Next time I visit will be the hotel and Spa. Merry Christmas and hope you have a very...

Me and my wife got married at gomersal park hotel so i only thought it would be fitting to have our 1 st anniversary at massimo's the décor is nice and the menu sounds nice i ordered beef tagliata and my wife ordered sautéed smoked duck with a goats cheese side salad this is where the problems started. The order came and the first thing i noticed was the lack of duck on my wife's dish(3 tiny pieces lost in a mass of rocket)and no melon like stated on the menu we let this pass and continued to eat we then got to the goats cheese salad which i then noticed was blue Stilton let this pass BUT THEN THE FINAL STRAW MY WIFE DOES NOT LIKE OLIVES SO SHE PASSED ME HER'S AND THERE IT WAS A BLACK CURLY PUBIC HAIR WE ARE ABSOLUTE DISGUSTED IN THE FOOD AND SERVICE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK RUINED OUR ANNIVERSARY

Follow up after i complained on line gomersal park hotel offered me and my wife a complimentary stay in there hotel with a meal and drinks and i must say they made up for the disappointment last time food was amazing and room was 5 star shame it wasn't like this...
