Just to start off im yhe biker on the white bike and I've only been here once but I found it to be great even with the wet and very rainy weather.
There's a mini pump track and a bmx track right from the start which anyone can do. I found that the mini pump track wasn't as good for kids above the age of 10 as it is too small for them. The bmx track uas lots of jumps and it has lots of berms. It's hard to gain and keep speed on it I've found but it's still really good to practice jumps. These two are really easy to find as they are right next to the car park.
They shut off food at 3 at 3pm so i didn't get to try that, but the service was quick and it was relatively cheep for Leeds. There is a bike shop / repair shop there and they can pump up your tires or do anything you need really. The people in there are experienced and are kind.
There are jump lines and gaps when you explore further and there is a huge bridge jump that is about 30 foot long. The 2 gaps are easy to jump I found as it was my first time jumping gaps. The jumps are very case friendly and they have good lips and landings.
I honestly couldn't ask for more from a bike park this has some of the best jumps I've done so far as a new biker and I...
Read moreFantastic facility, great staff, family friendly, nice line of jumps and tracks fit a wide range of abilities and very progressive so a great place to session and hone your jump skills. Would give 5 stars but half of the jumps on the red trail are uphill so brilliant for ebikes, but they won't get used by push bikes. I guess as your speed increases with pumping and jumping technique you will be able to get further up the hill without pedalling. Still, would love to see how far a pro could get! Already only 2 days since opening the push bikers have made some shortcuts at the bottom of the line to avoid pedaling back up the next 10 table tops! It would be good to repurpose this uphill section as another downhill, to create two downhill lines meeting at the bottom, with a couple of big berms to direct into the red trail climb back up. Still a brilliant place to session with 9 or 10 gravity fed tabletops on this line. There are also two other really excellent pump tracks and skills track, also the rest of the red trail has some great berms on the downhill section. Don't want to sound too critical because most of the park is excellent. Well worth coming back and something...
Read moreWent as a group of 4, the main trails near the café were well maintained and clearly marked out. Beware: there are a lot of troublemakers around, our van valve caps got stolen (not a big deal just annoying) and some girls bike also got stolen. Saw kids on Surrons and lighting fireworks but thats just Leeds I guess.
We chose the red trail and it takes you through the small forest. The trail is marked out by wooden posts but these are very worn out and none of them have any signs so you kind of have to guess where to go. Luckily I had Trailforks and found my way through but for someone without any knowledge about the trail - it would be a real struggle. Red trail isn't maintained as good as the others but it is a fun one.
Shop is rather small with a limited choice but they have the essentials with expected prices. Toilets are good and café looked nice but we didn't get anything.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't come here again due to the atmosphere and the risk of getting your stuff stolen and I completely understand that you park at your own risk and it isn't the Bike Park's fault. Trails are good but...
