If I could have given a 0 out of star I would have. Ate here lastnight service was shocking, food was horrible, burger was effortlessly made, my 3 year old could have presented it better. It tasted dry, over cooked, I had to fill the burger with mayo myself, as it had a tiny piece of lettuce in it, no onions, no tomato, and a ration of sauce. I do have a picture but unable to attach this to this review for some reason.

My partners chicken skewers were watery and she said they tasted awful. Working in a pub herself she knows they put water on the plate to make it sizzle, but it effected the quality of the chicken. My friend went up and asked for a dessert, in which the bar staff tutted, and replied pffft 'what do you want' I did exactly the same, but when they tutted at me, being a confrontational person myself I politely asked 'is that a problem' in which they said they closed the deserts early as the lady was on bar close. They served dessert anyway, but it wasnt the point. Myself and especially my partner understand that working under pressure, limited time and understaffed can cause stress but customer service and being tutted at is just not acceptable. Especially when this was an hour and half (830pm) at night before food is stopped from being served. On top of this, football was on all night, wolves played at 5pm, man united 8pm, it was clear that people including ourselves was there to watch the man united game, they then changed the channel half way through the man united game because someone asked for premier league darts on, I'm sorry but in the world I live in, first come first serve, and dont just change the channel just because of a few regulars. We did complain and got the united game back on, but again, it's not the point.

There was 7 of us lastnight, all having a social meal, a few drinks, and a good laugh. Easily spent over £200. One thing we definitely wont be doing again is visiting the venue again. There are far better pubs, restaurants to visit around than this place.

Regarding the landlords reply below, I'm not sure how much more specific you...

Visited at 1:15pm on Sunday 16th of December as a party of 3 children under 12 and 4 adults. We were seated quickly, chose our meals, ordered our drinks and paid.

Crayons and drawing/puzzle sheets were available for the younger children under 9yrs old. Although pens weren't provided, and we only had one between us, the staff were happy to let us borrow another pen to save arguments, haha!

Our food came out within 20-25 minutes, which in my opinion is perfectly reasonable. All of our food was hot and delicious. The medium and medium-rare steaks were cooked to perfection, as was the gammon and mixed grill.

As my older niece doesn't like onions or peppers, I had made the mistake of not removing the bed of peppers and onions when ordering her mix it up sizzler meal. They immediately offered to cook the meal again so it didn't taste of the veggies. My niece said it was okay to remove them and she'd try them. She was happy with how they tasted, but I was thankful they'd offered to replace the meal.

The two under 9yr olds childrens meals, including their desserts were enjoyed and all of our food was demolished. We were there for approximately 3hrs 15m.

All in all we had a lovely meal, all of the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful and there was a good atmosphere.

I didn't use the bathroom facilities, so I can't comment.

Thank you for the a lovely meal and afternoon. We will definitely be...

We used to love going to the Hungry Horse. But we went here this time and had a multitude of issues No onion rings (a staple, it's like KFC running out of chicken No burgers as they had no buns.... There is a saisnburys right across the road No korean BBQ Sauce No Breaded chcien strips (they had Chicken, can the chef not make breadcrumbs in a blender???) No battered Hallumi Our mix it up sizzlers were barely hot my Naan bread tasted old and was hardly warm The seak on my fathers mixed grill was about the size piece of bacon There were stains on the TV and crumbs on the table My onion bajis were burnt to a crisp, So i sent them back, the next two were not cooked and were greasy as anything I was not even offered a galss with my drinks THe waitress never came to check how our food was or take away our plates... maybe they are still there.

It seems the Chef is incompetent, as is the waitress.

When I Complained, while i was offered a £30 gift card (this covers less than half of my meal), I was also met with rdueness from the general manager who said "well it seems like this just isn't the place for you" - in refrence to my compalints of poor undercooked food and poor...

Took our youngest here for his birthday and we weren’t disappointed. The husband and son chose chicken starters while I had Halloumi fingers with a wonderful spicy sauce. Steaks for the guys were cooked as requested and served with decently cut chips and my vegetarian sausage and mash was hot and filling. We managed to save some space for puddings and I thoroughly recommend the sticky toffee sponge with custard. The staff were polite and friendly and the space warm. The only thing I’d change was having to queue for drinks during the meal, twice my son had people push in front of him while he waited to be served, the whole time his food was getting cold. Unfortunately our seats were next to the toilets and a rather unpleasant but not entirely unexpected smell twice drifted our way.

Came here for breakfast and were told all of the Covid measures in place. Table was clean and tidy when we sat down. Staff were friendly and polite. You have to wait awhile for food to arrive so bear that in mind as it has reduced staff in kitchen. Our breakfasts were really delicious and enjoyable, but I’ve knocked a star off as I found it a pain to have the breakfast burrito in a basket and not a plate. Once or twice it nearly tipped out and the sauce from the beans saturated the paper the burrito was on and it ripped and got mixed in with the contents so I had to keep picking the paper out. All in all a nice experience, just hope they take my suggestion on board :)

We visited Lincolnshire and Lincoln City with family yesterday, we tried a couple of places to stop and eat but failed as things were either shut or didn't cater for vegetarians or children. This was the next place on the list. We ordered drinks at the bar, staff were very friendly and efficient. The menu had very good choices on them and some great deals! £7 for a mixed grill is fab, food was hot and very tasty! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area or visiting Lincolnshire we have added it to our list to return again 👍
