I didn't have the best experience here, unfortunately. The food was alright. The amount you got on your plate was shocking for what you paid. There was a gluten-free menu with good options, which i was happy with. I had very mixed experiences with the staff. One lad looked like he was halfway through a two week notice and acted like it also. Looked a bit annoyed at our large drinks order for our family. One lady told me that I could order drinks from where I was stood and told me I had to queue up, when I queued up, she then served two separate customers after I joined an eight customer queue. I continued to join the queue throughout the evening, and a woman arrived at the end of the bar and chose not to acknowledge the queue and, at my turn, was served by the bar man even though I had been at the bar 5 minutes longer than her. I wanted some cutlery for my desert and when I approached a girl who looked like she was chatting to some friends whilst working. She completely ignored me to carry on her conversation. She may have not been on shift, but she could have told me knowing I was standing there waiting to speak to her whilst she stood their, apron on, looking like she was working. Had a nice waiter, and one of the bar lads I met on that day was nice. The day was Tuesday 22nd July. The atmosphere was nice enough.

Decided to eat here for our evening out, I had steak and ale pie, mash and veg (peas and uncooked broccoli and carrots) pie was lovely, mash wasn't the best and was served with the tiniest amount of gravy, eldest had the ultimate burger with chips and coleslaw he enjoyed it but wasn't full enough for the ÂŁ17 we paid for the meal, youngest had chicken nuggets chips and beans which he said tasted nice (instead of the ÂŁ5.99 it was supposed to be it was only ÂŁ1) and partner had the sirloin steak đŸ„© which he reckons was cooked to perfection, chips, peas, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms and finished off with the shared dipping platter which consisted of chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, sprinkles, apple, warm brownie, marshmallows, strawberries, mini donuts and waffles again we all enjoyed.. overall we had a lovely meal and didn't mind paying ÂŁ80 for four of us to eat including 4 pints of pepsi. Service was slow and I had to call them over each time though, our table was booked for 6 and it was quite quiet which was nice to be honest.

Went for a meal here and was not impressed. We paid £17.99 for a mixed grill and let’s just say they are very tight on there portions. The sausage was hard and seemed like it was left over from the morning. We also had some kids meals and the chips came out cold and the burger was still raw in the middle. We spent £75 on our meals and we only had a refund of £6.99. They said the meals was of acceptable quality and that there was large portions. When I was at the bar asking for the salad stick that are supposed to be free with the kids meals the guy just stood there and literally yawned in my face. Guess he had a late night or not much sleep. If you want my honest opinion then don’t waste your holiday money going here for food. I know that we did receive a refund but with the amount of food that was left at the end of the meal I thought at least a 20% refund would of been acceptable

Went in and were shown to our table in the empty restaurant area - not sure why we had an allocated table when there were an abundance of better tables. Ordered a chicken wrap and a tuna panini with chips, drinks came quickly but the food took about 35 minutes. Not being funny but considering it didn’t look busy I thought this was a bit of a joke.

Loads of staff stood round not doing anything and making us feel uneasy - only one of them was overly friendly (a lovely, ginger-haired lady) who came over to make sure we were alright. Most of the others (including the supervisors) were dressed scruffily with different trainers and dirty shirts. We saw a few of them on their phones in plain sight too which gave us the impression they didn’t care about the place.

Food came and it was just disappointing. Yes it’s not fine dining but still the wrap was dry and tiny, the panini wasn’t filled very well and had a weird bit of tomatoey sauce on the underside of the bread that wasn’t included in the item description which lead to us believing the plates hadn’t been cleaned properly. This was also the case for the cutlery that was dirty and not polished. Wouldn’t have minded as much if it was busy but there were maybe 5 tables sat down. Anyway, we left feeling a bit sick.

The ambience and decor was alright as were the prices but the service and food really let it down. It needs some standards and dignity.

Would recommend the Burger King instead.

(Also the wrap came with warm nachos? Why? Literally doesn’t...

Bit of a rollercoaster experience! We booked in to eat dinner at the Coast House last night. When we arrived they told us that we were sitting in an area with no table service, we had to either order at the bar or through the app, which is absolutely fine however it would have been appreciated if we’d been asked when booking if we were happy to sit with no table service. We then ordered our food through the app, which was easy enough to do. We ordered small plates and main meals but there was no option to request all the meals to be brought out together. Once our small plates arrived, we spoke to a server about how we wanted them all together and she advised she’d speak to the kitchen staff and the meals would be sent through as soon as possible. We were waiting for over an hour before our meals were delivered. The food was of a good standard and we all enjoyed our food, but the wait time really did ruin our experience. In addition, for the price we paid for the food, you would expect a better service. The whole ‘no table service section’ was underwhelmed. We noted that other families were sitting either longer or as long as us and were waiting for food even after ours was delivered. Such a shame because the food was actually of a...
