Went in and were shown to our table in the empty restaurant area - not sure why we had an allocated table when there were an abundance of better tables. Ordered a chicken wrap and a tuna panini with chips, drinks came quickly but the food took about 35 minutes. Not being funny but considering it didnât look busy I thought this was a bit of a joke.
Loads of staff stood round not doing anything and making us feel uneasy - only one of them was overly friendly (a lovely, ginger-haired lady) who came over to make sure we were alright. Most of the others (including the supervisors) were dressed scruffily with different trainers and dirty shirts. We saw a few of them on their phones in plain sight too which gave us the impression they didnât care about the place.
Food came and it was just disappointing. Yes itâs not fine dining but still the wrap was dry and tiny, the panini wasnât filled very well and had a weird bit of tomatoey sauce on the underside of the bread that wasnât included in the item description which lead to us believing the plates hadnât been cleaned properly. This was also the case for the cutlery that was dirty and not polished. Wouldnât have minded as much if it was busy but there were maybe 5 tables sat down. Anyway, we left feeling a bit sick.
The ambience and decor was alright as were the prices but the service and food really let it down. It needs some standards and dignity.
Would recommend the Burger King instead.
(Also the wrap came with warm nachos? Why? Literally doesnât...
Read moreI didn't have the best experience here, unfortunately.
The food was alright. The amount you got on your plate was shocking for what you paid. There was a gluten-free menu with good options, which i was happy with.
I had very mixed experiences with the staff. One lad looked like he was halfway through a two week notice and acted like it also. Looked a bit annoyed at our large drinks order for our family. One lady told me that I could order drinks from where I was stood and told me I had to queue up, when I queued up, she then served two separate customers after I joined an eight customer queue. I continued to join the queue throughout the evening, and a woman arrived at the end of the bar and chose not to acknowledge the queue and, at my turn, was served by the bar man even though I had been at the bar 5 minutes longer than her. I wanted some cutlery for my desert and when I approached a girl who looked like she was chatting to some friends whilst working. She completely ignored me to carry on her conversation. She may have not been on shift, but she could have told me knowing I was standing there waiting to speak to her whilst she stood their, apron on, looking like she was working. Had a nice waiter, and one of the bar lads I met on that day was nice. The day was Tuesday 22nd July.
The atmosphere was...
Read moreBit of a rollercoaster experience! We booked in to eat dinner at the Coast House last night. When we arrived they told us that we were sitting in an area with no table service, we had to either order at the bar or through the app, which is absolutely fine however it would have been appreciated if weâd been asked when booking if we were happy to sit with no table service. We then ordered our food through the app, which was easy enough to do. We ordered small plates and main meals but there was no option to request all the meals to be brought out together. Once our small plates arrived, we spoke to a server about how we wanted them all together and she advised sheâd speak to the kitchen staff and the meals would be sent through as soon as possible. We were waiting for over an hour before our meals were delivered. The food was of a good standard and we all enjoyed our food, but the wait time really did ruin our experience. In addition, for the price we paid for the food, you would expect a better service. The whole âno table service sectionâ was underwhelmed. We noted that other families were sitting either longer or as long as us and were waiting for food even after ours was delivered. Such a shame because the food was actually of a...
