Maybe I didn't check the photos from this place, but the first surprise when we got when we arrived was how small and basic the place looked. I didn't count them, but it feels like the place has perhaps a dozen tables at most. We were there on a Fri eve around 8pm. The place was empty apart from a couple seated near the window. A large family followed us in, so suddenly the place was nearly half full. A regular also arrived shortly after. Don't let any of this put you off. There's a reason this place has good reviews. There was one guy behind the counter and no other waiters. He was busy sorting out the food for the delivery man. He looked over apologetically. We didn't mind waiting as one of our party was still 5 mins away. The tables were cleaner than many a larger place (with way more staff) I've been to. We ordered Idli, Pani Puri and Gobi 65 for starters and Masala Dosas for the main. The starters arrived shortly after. Everything was nicely cooked and went down a treat. I especially enjoyed the Gobi. Then the Dosas arrived. I thoroughly enjoyed mine. Others found them hotter than preferred. Normally it's the other way round as I have a sensitive palate. I had a fresh whole orange to finish off with, which I noticed wasn't on the bill, but I left a decent tip, so no guilt on my part. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food and service very good and the bill entirely reasonable. I'd...
Read moreSo I’m a regular buyer from Crispy Dosa. Initially when I figured this place out, my family and I relished the food and we started ordering twice and sometimes thrice a week from this place. It was the closest I’ve tasted to a South Indian style restaurant food. Their idlis are soft and their drumstick sambar, tomato and mint chutney is the best, whereas the coconut chutney not so great. The dosas taste yummy as well. The chapatis are a bit dry by the time they are delivered but are freshly prepared and the channa curry compliments it really well. My son enjoys the mini idlis with sambar. The meals are not as rich and varied as what we get in Chennai or Trichy but it’s the closest to it especially the taste of the rasam, sambar and poriyal.
I’ve not been to their restaurant/kitchen due to restrictions but I’m hoping that they have a well maintained and clean one.
The portions offered are decent and can’t complain.
In terms of delivery yes I do agree with other reviewers that timing is not their strong suit. Eventually my order is delayed by 10-20mins. So I take that into consideration and started ordering a bit earlier.
Apart from that I think the food is delicious and you will...
Read moreJust now received food from crispy dosa greenford, please see the attached photo to see the quality of food delivery and such a poor packaging I have never seen.
I called the restaurant the lady don't what to give her name however confirmed this is their standard of food delivery.
I ordered dosa for my daughter and I have throw this away.
The vegetable rice came as combo is spoiled 😡
Please don't waste time with people who don't take food business seriously - food is something we eat and they should respect it.
Very disappointed 😞
Following the review, the Resturant apologised and redelivered today @26.07 , I must admit the dosa was fantastic, came in right package and also parotta with gravy was delicious. I'm impressed that Resturant took the review seriously and changed the package, definitely as good as saravana Bhavan. I have attached the pictures as well. I wish the Resturant will keep the same standard and keep the consistency. Thanks for catering manager to...
