Favorite Chicken & Ribs Mottingham — Restaurant in London

Been coming to favourite chicken for 12 years on and off xxxx member of staff who has worked there for 14 years and he's really nice xxxx but it does depend who serves you, as yesterday was 'had a go at', cos i dared to ask about the discrepancy in price between the canned and bottled drinks... apparently you have to pay extra for a bottle with a main meal, when i feel if you've spent enough to get a free drink; it shouldn't matter. Plus with the rising cost of their glorified freezer food, didnt appreciate being told off, should be a note up on the price list board informing people: as we aint mind readers my only complaint is sometimes you gotta wait but even then thats not a bad thing xxxx also some of the meals are neigh on a fiver, update; was racially and physically assaulted in this store, the owner didn't shut the shop, call the police or do much... so I did I called the police, threw my bag in the face of...

I almost didn't try this place out due to the many recent negative reviews. However, it looks like they are mostly complaints about the meat not actually being halal. If you don't care about that, the food here is great! I had a 2 piece meal and the chicken was so good that it reminded me of a top quality chicken I used to get back in the day around East London. Chips were freshly cooked and crunchy. I'm so glad I gave it a chance! Best chicken and chips I've had in many years.

I really wish people would use Google reviews to actually review food, service and atmosphere (literally what is stated in the reviews) instead of complaining about logistical issues or claims that the meat wasn't cooked because you don't know what marinated chicken looks like after being cooked!
