We visited Minoa Pan-Asian on a Friday evening for a family celebration, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. The restaurant is attached to the City Pavilion, which many people may already know as a popular wedding venue. It certainly has that special-occasion feel with elegant décor, a spacious layout, and an atmosphere suited for both celebrations and casual dining.
Starters: We shared a selection of crispy broccoli, chilli chicken, and dragon roll sushi between four adults. The portion sizes were generous, with enough left over for seconds (and even thirds!). Each dish was flavourful and set the tone well for the rest of the meal.
Mains: For mains, we ordered the green and red Thai chicken curries (served with jasmine white rice) and a chicken pad Thai. For the kids, we ordered chicken egg noodles. The curries were tasty, rich, aromatic, and full of flavour, with plenty of sauce to enjoy with the rice. The pad Thai, however, was on the sweet side and didn’t win us over. Surprisingly, the kids’ chicken egg noodles were the hidden gem: simple, tasty, and better balanced than the pad Thai.
Desserts: We finished with a lovely variety of desserts: sticky toffee pudding, mango cheesecake, and ice cream scoops for the kids. To our delight, the restaurant kindly provided a complimentary brownie with ice cream, which was a thoughtful touch. All desserts went down well, though the standout was definitely the mango cheesecake.
Service & ambience: Service was consistently friendly and attentive, with staff always available when needed. The restaurant itself feels modern and celebratory, making it perfect for special occasions. The live DJ added to the lively atmosphere, though the music was a little too loud at times, making conversation difficult.
Overall: We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. With its warm service, generous portions, and beautiful setting, Minoa is well worth a visit. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a mix of flavourful Pan-Asian cuisine in a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Minoa, a delightful Pan Asian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the decor beautifully captured the essence of Asian culture with a modern twist.
The food at Minoa is nothing short of brilliant. Each dish was a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise and creativity of the chefs. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes from various Asian cuisines, ensuring there's something for everyone.
I started with the crispy spring rolls, which were perfectly golden and packed with a flavorful filling. The dipping sauce was a perfect complement, adding a tangy kick to each bite. For the main course, I opted for the Thai green curry with jasmine rice. The curry was rich and aromatic, with a perfect balance of spices and creamy coconut milk. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the chicken was tender and cooked to perfection.
One of the highlights of the meal was the sushi platter. The presentation was exquisite, and each piece was a work of art. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the combination of flavors in each roll was masterfully executed. The wasabi and pickled ginger added the perfect finishing touch.
The service at Minoa was top-notch. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need was met. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Minoa is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in exceptional Pan Asian cuisine. The brilliant food, inviting ambiance, and outstanding service make it a standout restaurant that I will definitely be returning to. Highly...
Read moreThis was our third visit to Minoa, but unfortunately, we won’t be booking a table there again. On previous visits, both the service and food were excellent, which is why we chose this restaurant to host a dinner with friends and family.
However, this time, the experience was disappointing. The waitress began by getting our drinks order wrong and, when we pointed it out, failed to acknowledge her mistake. We decided to let it go and kept the drinks as they were.
We were asked to order both starters and mains together, but we were assured that they would be served at our pace. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The mains arrived before we had finished our starters. Once again, the waitress refused to acknowledge this mistake.
While a few dishes were enjoyable, the majority were very bland, which was especially disheartening given our past positive experiences. To add to this, one of the curries we ordered as vegetarian was mistakenly served as a chicken curry.
The atmosphere was another letdown. The music in the main dining area was excessively loud, creating more of a bar or club vibe. While music taste is subjective, the high volume made it uncomfortable for dining. The separate bar area would have been a more fitting space for that kind of ambience, leaving the main dining area better suited for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
The overall impression we got was that we were being rushed to finish and leave, even though the restaurant was not busy.
In the end, we decided to remove the service charge, as the service was subpar. If you’re looking for a calm and relaxed dining experience, Minoa is not the...
