*Review is for the establishment, not the food or service.* We were going to eat but because we were going to have a couple of drinks first we were directed away from the restaurant area to the drinking area, even though it was quite empty. That's the rules apparently! The first call for concern was that there was no soap in both the male and female toilets. My wife mentioned this to a member of staff. The response was "that's down to the cleaners". Really? I'd say it's down to the manager. I'm hoping the restaurant is scheduled for a full refurbishment because it has gone beyond the "tired" stage. Some parts of the carpets were poorly patched together and highly worn. There was a large build up of dirt (for want of a better description) behind the radiator I was sat next to. At the bottom of another radiator by the pipe work there was a build up of something on the carpet and a wire, the sort of wire that is usually hidden within the walls. This loose wire went into a hole in the wall, this needs attention by an electrician. Going back to the carpet there was a tar like appearance by our feet. The chairs were also a disgrace. We ate elsewhere.

What a joke. They do not care about visitors with disabilities. Firstly, a vehicle was parked across three disabled parking bays. The staff couldn't care less, stating that the car park is not their responsibility. Secondly, we pre-booked a table, requesting level access and seating. The staff did not acknowledge our booking and said to 'sit anywhere'. There were no available tables near the breakfast area and none were easily accessible. Again, the staff couldn't care less. We struggled to carry out food and drink back to our table, as the restaurant was packed and not easy to navigate. Lastly, the accessible toilet was open to all visitors. It was filthy. Less said about that... Staff clearly do not understand not respect the needs of visitors with disabilities. Their attitude stinks. They were unwilling to help and clearly focus on making profit, over the needs of customers. IF YOU ARE DISABLED OR HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, think twice about visiting. If you're a wheelchair user - DONT BOTHER!!!

The waiters here are fantastic, very helpful whilst running around off their feet. In the evening I had a mixed grill, food was cold and the sausage looked like it touched the grill ever so briefly, after biting into it I had to spit it out as it tasted raw the texture was disgusting. The morning breakfast again is luke warm the poached eggs where still clear and jelly like in places where they were not cooked well. And the whole place is in need of refurbishment and a deep clean, after eating evening tea we went on to sit in the bar area, the dust and run down furniture is quite apparent from there sadly.

The Carvery is FANTASTIC!! :))) Crispy on the edges & soft, fluffy centre potatoes, fresh tasting carrots, broccoli & brussel sprouts and the made-sides, like cauliflower & cheese, stuffing and sweet potatoes, taste like home.

The peas could be softer but that's just my personal preference I understand whitbread make them 'Al Dente'

I received generous & sizeable meat portions (turkey, beef & gammon (as well as a couple of pigs and blankets), despite taking smaller pieces of each to have the trio on the adult plate (more than I could manage and I'm 6ft ; 14 stone).

Breakfast the next day was equally delicious with everything from pancakes, syrup and fruit to and a Traditional English with everything from black puddings to choice of eggs and well grilled juicy tomatoes. Staff even encouraged me to take a yoghurt, packet cereal and piece of fruit for the journey :).

The atmosphere is good the regulars in the bar are friendly and polite Car Park was tidy and, even though it was busy, I still got an easy park space cause of the layout (much better than other premier inn/restaurant sites I've been to). I really felt welcome, the staff went out of their way to make conversation inside and outside the restaurant. I was seated quickly and served shortly afterwards (didn't feel rushed to order which is always nice ). And when the business was quieter I the day and I was studying for my programme or getting on with admin/paper work and drawing up site plans...I wasn't disturbed and they made the effort to ask if the music was too loud.

No place...

If I could leave no stars I would

Firstly, on Friday I called and booked a table for two people at 3PM Sunday for the carvery service, and I got told that this was absolutely fine and "see you then!". On our way there we got stuck in some traffic and called to explain we would be 5 mins late. I got told on the phone that theyre running low on meats...

We arrived at exactly 3 mins past the hour and stood at the reception desk where the waitress/receptionist completely blanked us for 10 mins. When she finally decided to acknowledge us I explained that we had a table reservation for 3PM under my name. Her words were "Right, well Ill have a look at what I've got" then came back and said "Its gonna be a 15 min wait" point blank with absolutely no apology or compassion. I then asked her would there still be a Carvery service if we wait as we were told they were running low and her reply was "Yeah we are, so I cant garantee it, no." There was absolutely no customer service, hospitality or common decency whatsoever...

Im not one to walk out of places but I was so angry and embarrased we had to leave. I had booked this as a little weekend surprise for my partner and I as we dont see eachother often in the week, and I was so upset after the treatment we recieved I was left crying with frustration in the car park.

Im still absolutely appalled at the lack of service and it goes to say we wont be returning even though we live locally and I do not recommend it in...

SOO disappointed as a family we regularly eat at willow farm unfortunately today will be the last time. On arrival we were told would have to wait 30 minutes for table. This despite there being numerous empty tables none of which had reserved notices on them. Once at table staff were quick to take our order but we waited for some considerable time to receive our starters although none required cooking. Further lengthy time to wait for main courses my brother in law had ordered beef stew & dumplings which should have contained tomato mushroom bacon & green vegetables. What he received was a bowl of gravy with 4-5 lumps of meat floating, a teaspoon of mash & what appeared to be a piece of suet pastry. When this was queried with the waitress although friendly she was unable to advise! My steak & merlot pie had a crust so hard it shattered when eventually I managed to strike it hard enough. Maybe had it been served with gravy it would have been more palatable as it was I was unable to eat it. Small amount of mash (cold) & good portion of green beans. My sisters gammon 'steak' was like a thick rasher of bacon tho most of it fat. When the bill arrived we were told one of the deserts was complimentary as the stew was disappointing! Due to lengthy wait between courses & for the bill we were in the restaurant...
