Had lovely lunch here today. Generous and perfectly cooked roast beef with good selection of fresh veg. The fresh skate was out of this world, cooked specially for my partner with new potatoes and salad, as she did not want chips. Very friendly staff and host most welcoming and helpful. Parking available. Disabled access and toilet. Bar behind bistro, ample outside seating with great views over the estuary, nice walking locally. Would highly recommend, will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Went here yesterday during a day motorcycle ride out. This place is brilliant. Extremely kind staff, amazing food, great atmosphere and welcoming owner. I had the beef burger and chips, my mate had the panini and salad both with a coke. Service was quick, friendly and even though we sat outside far end of the garden, our food was walked over to us. Certainly recommend swinging by here if your around the area, and much more welcoming than some other local spots.

We were so lucky to discover Maylandsea and in particular this brilliant place to eat and drink. A warm welcome, great atmosphere, good ale and tasty, reasonably-priced food. Highly recommended

Had lunch today asked for burger with no cheese was told not a problem received a burger with cheese when I informed them I ordered without cheese they said no problem will cook a fresh one. When received was not a fresh burger just same but they had scrapped cheese off. When asked if the food was ok I replied not really disappointed that hadn’t had fresh burger cooked just same with cheese scrapped of . When chief / owner came out this was mentioned with him replying ‘ it was ordered incorrectly ‘ this was not he then asked if I expected him to loose money I replied yes new burger should have been cooked. To that he told me to leave the bar whose my parents who I was with were still eating. This is disgusting behaviour and wouldn’t...

6 of us Let down at another pub for Sunday Roast, phoned late on the bank holiday Sunday and was greeted with a very helpful person who said if we got there by 3.30, he would fit us in. We arrived to a very busy bar and restaurant area, the staff were lovely and helpful. We sat outside after ordering as inside was packed out. Enjoying our drink and waiting for our food, it started to rain, so they moved us under cover and then just before the food they found us seating inside. The food Stunning! Cooked to perfection, the best beef roast I have ever had in a restaurant All 6 of us agreed It wasn’t expensive either 2 courses and a drink worked out at just over £22 per head Well done chef and bar staff you were amazing, we will...

Enjoyed a decent meal of excellent value for money and friendly staff. Food wasn’t exactly haute cuisine (would’ve preferred chips to crisps with my paninis and disappointed there was no seafood given its location, though the large breakfast menu looked tempting) but it was certainly well made for its kind, especially the Cointreau trifle. The experience was marred somewhat by surprisingly slow service for a modest-sized joint (although the paninis were just about worth the long wait), so overall 3.5/5, rounded to 4 as 3 would...
