The only thing going for this place is the views. There are too many pubs trying to be campsites and this is one of them. The toilets are the pub toilets which is all good until you want to brush your teeth or have a shave, the showers have no where to put anything and the campsite is muddy and trees are too close making pitches a little on the small side, it's a good job I didn't take my awning, which is extra cost btw. The electric point was in a bush behind the neighbours van and as such not very accessible. And given the poo behind my pitch didn't want to go rummaging in the undergrowth. As for the food it smelt great and restaurant was full, we hadn't booked or been told we needed to when we checked in, so had to eat elsewhere. But the ginger haired member of staff was plain rude when she told us they were full and it took some one else to suggest we could have a takeaway. Reading the reviews it chalk and cheese abd appears to be ok unless something goes wrong, then no customer service. I would not recommend camping or eating here and suggest the owners work out what they are, either a campsite, Indian restaurant or country pub as it says on the sign. If they want to be all 3 they have some work to do.

The Marlbank has been reopened now about a month and the campsite and the pub are all up and running. The food here is worth the detour - a strong North Indian flavour (the can smell the kitchens as you drive past I kid you not) and made with real passion and flare - and better than most Indian restaurants outside of Bradford, Birmingham or London (it hasn't lost its place at the culinary table of excellence imo - see Ramsay's Future Food Stars). The mixed grill is ace and the Butty Batch nicely kept. I guess this would be a proper mecca for the bikers making their way to the showground in the summer - roads to it are a worthy wind around on two wheels as well so double the value. Can't comment on the camping facilities since this was a passing visit and the new owners will need to give some tlc to bits of the property since they're looking a touch aged but all in good time folks - Rome and all that...

I didnt visit the pub for food and drink, only the campsite. The checkin was contactless and very well organised. They were having some work done on the showers, so they were out of action when I first arrived but fixed within a couple of hours. I was told they would be cleaned before use, toilets were clean and facilities good. The showers could maybe use some ventilation. Asked if I wanted to book a table or order food to take away upon arrival. The pitches are possibly a little close together. But many of the units on the site were individual camper vans and therefore didn't take up too much room. All in all pretty good. Will look to book again next time I am in the area and hopefully get to try the food which seems to have great reviews in the local area!

Liked: 1 Location near the Malvern Hills is great – easy to access the walks. 2 Site is nice and small and quiet (on a Monday anyway!), good for a rest after long days hiking. 3 Reasonably priced. 4 Flat pitches. 5 Good fish and chips available in town nearby. 6 Nice little area to chuck a frisbee or play Kubb in the middle of the site

Disliked: 1 No one available to meet us, which is fine, but there's a slightly aggressive sign warning not to use the wrong pitch, but no way of knowing what is the right pitch – the sign said we'd been advised in our confirmation email, but we hadn't. Another group of campers arrived at same time as us and had same problem. Not a very big deal, but when the whole point of the camp site was for us to relax after a long day's hiking in the hills, we just wanted to put up the tent and rest! No one answered the landline given on the sign. Eventually we found a mobile number posted elsewhere on the site, but by then we'd just taken our chances and pitched, same as our neighbours with same problem. No one ever came along to check! This gave the whole stay a slightly inhospitable feel, which is a shame. 2 Wash room / loo facilities on the tired side. They're just the same facilities as used for the pub, which felt a little exposing! Just about did the job, have experienced worse and better (decided against a shower though). Water was cold for all washing and washing up. 3 Pub was closed (closed on a Monday). As the campsite is part of the pub, that was a shame as we'd hoped to get our dinner there and a nice draught beer. Wish we'd known ahead of time; nothing mentioned on the pitchup info we received. (Plus side – probably meant much quieter night, as you're camping right next to the beer garden, so if it had been lively, it would have been noisy. Don't think that would matter as long as you know what you're getting.) If we'd booked direct with pub they might have provided more info on this. 4 Completely surrounded by tall trees, so no views of anything in particular. (Didn't matter as we'd had amazing views all day!) Lost the sun completely by about...

Topdraw stuff. I'll start by saying the staff were faultless, very accommodating we wanted to move tables as one free'd up in the corner. They moved us without a grumble, the girl serving us was very helpful and came with a smile each time perfect service in my opinion. Now the good stuff. If you like authentic, proper id call it home style curry how it should be done then this is a great place to eat. This is not your typical overly sweet creamy western version curry's you'd be used to just anywhere. Beautiful location in malvern, the pub is nice and cosy with seating all around and plenty outside too, oh and dogs welcome which i love (didnt have ours with us). To start off we had the tikka potato croquettes which ive never had, these where crispy and tasty with authentic, not overly sweet sauces the usual yoghurt mint and a tamarind chutney proper. We also had the tandoori fish which again was beautiful, crispy and battered to perfection also fresh. I always get the fish for comparison to other restaurants and this trumped them. We also had the Lamb rolls which I've never had before again these where very crispy spring roll like things which tasted amazing. For mains had punjabi style 12hr stewed leg of lamb (cant remember the name) this was mine had the heat but all them beautiful traditional spices and that fenugeek 💪 we also had the Keralan coconut lamb for the mrs. This was beautiful too, creamy, perfectly spiced and the lamb was absoloute perfect. For sides we had a tandoori naan and the gunpowder fries which where great. We went here 19th August 2023. Dining for 2, 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides. 80 quid which is great value for what we experienced. ❤️🙌 I didn't take photos and now wish we did. Portion size was perfect had a little to take home so I get to taste them again tonight 😎 highly recommend this one and we will most definitely be back.

Get that samosa chaat on the menu sir 🙏🤪

We didn't camp here although I would after eating their food. I'd camp in the toilet if I...
