I have had two visits to this pub. I really enjoyed the first time and had great food and service which would grant it a five star review. The second visit was the let down. The service was friendly and generally very good from the one lady and that is the only saving grace to prevent me knocking another star off the rating. We had steaks as part of the deal which is great value for money but my steak cooked blue was cooked directly from the fridge and still cold inside. I swapped my meal and instead had a gammon steak (which had a very greasy egg with it) as I couldnāt trust to get a steak cooked properly to my liking. This meant I had a meal I didnāt really want and had to watch my partner eat then get my meal once she had finished hers. At no point did the either owner come to apologies for the problems even though one of them took the desert order.
The nail in the coffin was not having any discount off the bill. I am not one to ask for this and feel a good establishment would not let a customer leave unhappy and would offer some discount, even just a free desert, to keep us happy....

We explained 2 the lovely lady behind the bar that we had been 2 Weatherspoons in Tewkesbury and sat in the garden there. We ordered food asked 4 water for our dog was told we couldnt have the dog anywhere not even in the garden. Hence we looked 4 somewhere else 4 lunch. The lady behind the bar at The Blue Bell said u dont have 2 sit outside Dogs r allowed in here and showed us the area we could sit with our dog. I couldnt believe the difference in attitude between the 2 places. A table was set 4 us and water 4 our dog was put in his bowl. The baget we had with tuna mayonnaise and side salad was Delicious. While we sat having our lunch 2 other people came in with dogs 4 meals. The people that work at the blue bell were lovely, friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely be going. Here again for food. Defo...

We're really pleased to have ventured out and tried the Blue Bell - we really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, and we felt like we got real value for money. Having a full pub bar with a good selection of ales, lagers, ciders and spirits offered so much more than the usual restaurant fayre. Great job Blue Bell, we'll definitely be back on our next visit (and parents will be back...
