KFC — Restaurant in Mansfield

Really fancied a KFC so called to our local branch in Forest Town.. We actually ate in which is unusual as normally get a take away.. There were 2 people in front of us queuing and from the off they looked short staffed and were mainly focusing on the drive thru business..It took around 15 mins to actually place our order.. We ordered our food and then tried to find a clean table.. I don't think the tables had been wiped down for a long time.. Anyway my husband went to the counter for our food and I had the boneless banquet meal.. Its the worst I've ever had as the popcorn chicken which are my favourite were hard and totally over cooked and over held.. As for the chicken strips they were literally black and my husband returned them to be given what were supposed to be fresh ones and again they were black.. I've worked in McDonalds as a manager for over 34 years and had they had bothered to have changed the oil they wondered have compromised the quality of the food we were purchasing.. Its by far the worst KFC we've ever had.. We spent £25.00 and it was awful.. I couldn't eat my meal apart from a couple of Fries I had.. Just change the oil that was all that needed...

As a chain I love KFC and this is one of 2 options near to me, and due to circumstances visited this one 3 times in a 3 week period recently. This particular branch is feeling very run down and the service is poor. The first of the 3 visits was a drive through and the food was warm at best but most annoyingly, having ordered 3 pieces of chicken, to find all 3 pieces being leg was disappointing. So the next week when I visited, we went inside, with the view that if they gave me 3 pieces of leg I could at least complain. Inside the decor is looking unkempt, the electronic order machines, though switched on were not working, with no signs to say so or any of the staff helping, multiple menu items were out of stock, the Crushems machine being down, and the staff just appeared so unfriendly. My third visits a week late was basically a repeat of the second, though the electronic order machines were working this was actually a pain because it let you order things that were out of stock, which we were not tol about until we went to collect the order from the counter, and the Crushems machine was still down. It has put me off using...

Visited for a take out. The products never seem to contain a combination that I /We want. I don't want zingers or hash browns. I wan't what it says on the sign. I want tasty succulent Chicken with a crispy skin. This time to obtain lunch for two, avoid chillies and soggie batter, we ended up with two tower burger meals. Not impressed with either the "Fries" (Portion small with scabby skins, but no taste) or the damp "Tower Burger" ( Dried out chicken fillet, greasy hash brown, and more grease) To top it off KFC now only accepts Blue light cards / Veteran discount cards if you can produce, not the card, but a QR code from a combination of the bloated KFC app and the BLC card code. The 10% discount is not worth the effort for the overpriced rubbish being sold as food. (£15.98) We have eaten KFC, every so often since going on a date and stopping at chesterfield KFC in 1986.
