Can someone please reply to my email with regards to the manageress that treated me with no respect at all, and then banned me on Sunday 18th July at 8am in the morning at the Toby Carvery Stonebridge. I parked in a space that she said is reserved for the disabled. There is no indication of this, either on the floor or signposted. I took several photos of the car park, and am appalled how neglected some of the spaces are. Tarmac loose, cracked and showing growth coming through, parking lines faded/non existent. I've written two emails, but nobody has replied, so am trying here if this works. I would appreciate a reply, so I can share exactly what happened. I have dash cam footage with audio to how the manageress spoke to me. I was keeping my calm, and trying to explain the parking space was not signed as disabled, she told me "I'm having enough, you are banned" and this was in front of a group of friends I've not seen for a long while. Please see photos of the car park, the first two photos is where I parked, and please tell me where it's clearly sated as a disabled parking space. There's no signposts saying 'Disabled Only' and those yellow crosses either side isn't an indication of disabled, and unless it's clearly signposted and made visible, I'm not playing the game of imagination, if it's not correctly signed, I will presume it's a free space to anyone. The spaces next to it aren't the best, but did have some shape or form of a disabled chair, so will give that the benefit of doubt. Being a public space for parking, I'm sure you need to comply with some form of parking regulations despite being private. I still can't believe that someone with the responsibility of manageress talks/shouts to a customer with no respect at all, very unprofessional and a situation that could've been talked about in an adult manor very easily, but she behaved like I was her mate, this is too formal and degrades the whole experience. I'm sorry I had to write here with a negative, but nobody is replying to my emails and it still plays heavy in my mind to how I was treated. Please check your emails dated 18th July 2021 and you'll find my complaint. Thank you

FOOD POISONING!! This place has gone down hill badly. Big rats running round as you walk in. Told could use a voucher and then told can’t when came time to pay. Then to top it off had food poisoning for 2 days after we left. Reported all this to the venue. Their reply is a joke. Take no responsibility for any of it. Nothing offered to resolve it. No wonder everyone saying this place is on its last legs. Terrible place. Was good years ago. Avoid like the plague… which you might catch here with all the rats outside. *UPDATE* (pic of receipt added) And now they have replied to this with lies!! I’ve got the emails going back and forth with the company. And Mitchell and Butlers have emailed me a questionnaire to complete for the food poisoning investigation. I told them simply refund my money for the meal. But they ignored that and now lie on reply here. Total disgrace of a business. It was 1000% your business and if u look at other recent reviews they saw the rats out front too! AVOID!!!

Well another fantastic experience inside the Toby restaurant!!!! 10 out of 10😏💯 from the welcoming chef's & my beautiful friendly waitress, plenty of upselling but in the right way not forced, my visit to the servery was a first for me all the chefs took a few mins to chat with me( I'm an X M&B manager) 😀 the Yorkshire puddings were the best I've had anywhere!!!! Nice soft & fresh not like eating cardboard!!! I was even guided on my onward journey back to North notts, thats when the massive letdown came😳😳😳😳 which is not the management or staffs fault.the blame lies totally with M&B!!!!!!!! The outside of the property is Disgusting!!!!! If I had checked before entering I would have got back in my van, which I'm sure many people must do!!! Come on M&B!!!!!!! Where's the Midlands pride gone or has it been lost to the Americans???? I'm my Eyes Weatherspoon's push on ahead of M&B check out the photos 📸

A week or so ago i called to make a booking for my works “Christmas meal” as we was unable to go before Christmas, i spoke to a lovely guy “connor” who was very helpful. I explained i needed a table for Tuesday 09th for 14 people. He told me he would need to confirm with the manager as it was “50% off” week that week. He said he would call me back the following day. He did in-fact call me the following day and said it was fine to take the booking but would need to do 2 separate tables, which was not an issue. I’ve booked this in with him with no issue. Following to today, the day of the booking. I called the restaurant today to let them know there was only going to be 12 people and was very abruptly told there is no booking. I explain the situation that I had previous booked, but the manager “julie” was very rude and said “ how many times do I need to reiterate there is no booking for you” I then told her it was Connor who made the booking and she gave the phone to him. He told me he was adamant he put the booking into the system and even agreed he had asked the manager before calling me back. I then asked to speak back with the manager and was told she was now busy. I was then we’re stuck in a predicament, two hours before 12 people was about to arrive with no table booked. I called back to the restaurant. And the manager picked up again, being very abrupt from the get, there was no help at all to resolve the situation. I asked what would happen in a walking situation? And that idea was totally shut down. She then very unwillingly offered us to just have vegetables, but NO MEAT?! I’ve never experienced such un professionalism and a lack of any heart to help fix a situation that had been messed up on their behalf, the way she handled the telephone call was unlike anything I’ve ever known . knowing we was there for a Christmas meal and her staff also confirming they had booked it in. I then asked if it was possible, she could let the people arriving know that it was no longer going ahead. As I was unable to get in contact with some of them. I was told “ no I will tell them that you did not book a table”. At that point, I knew there was nothing that was going to be done and that I would never be returning. I have never felt so unwelcome and I think I know my reasons why.

I honestly feel sorry for Connor, if he had to then experienced what I experienced over the phone for something that may have been a genuine mistake on his behalf.

Thankfully, we called the Toby carvery at the Wheatsheaf in Sheldon, and they took a booking without any problem. The food was amazing and service. The waitress was so kind and everywhere was very clean and everybody had such a...

We arrived at 7pm, slightly early for our 7:30pm booking but were seated straight away. We had a gluten intolerance that meant that their food would be cooked fresh so we were told to sit and wait before the other 5 of us got ours from the counter. When the gluten free option came out, there was only 2 meats left at the counter turkey and pork, neither of which looked very nice if I’m honest. The man in front of me asked the chef if there was any more beef and he said no really aggressively and so the man looked at me and raised his eyebrows before he quickly carried on to the veg. When it was my turn I asked if there was anymore beef due to come out as I would be happy to wait ( I don’t really like turkey and the pork was dry and scabby) and the chef said. ‘I’ve just told him no. The answer is no’. I replied ‘sorry I just thought there was always a guarantee of 3 meats’. He replied I’ve said no - there is no more beef, so what you having?’ In such a rude and aggressive manner I almost stepped back. I said ‘ok thank you’ and carried on. I was so dissatisfied that I decided to talk to the manager. Not only was the meat selections not acceptable but the attitude of the chef behind the counter was disgusting. The manager said he would talk to the chef and find out what was happening and that it was unfortunate that the meat had run out while we had been asked to wait. At no point was I offered an apology, or did the manager return to talk to me again. No discount was offered or even a drink taken off the bill. I am disgusted in the place. The only good thing about the whole experience was the young lady who served us. She’s is a credit to the company. I will not be coming back here ( we usually go to the one in knowle which is currently closed for refurb) and never wish to even put one foot through...
