McDonald's — Restaurant in Mid Devon

When I arrived at the drive-thru, my car ordered 12 cheeseburgers, devastatingly we were told to call ahead because "the kitchen will love" us for ordering such a phat order.

So now you are wondering, if it was devastating, then how can this be a 5 star review. Allow me to explain.

As we pulled round the window to pay, the absolutely McGOAT of an employee, told us that 12 cheeseburgers was nothing for the kitchen. This is afterall a fast food goliath.

With a smile on our faces we pulled to the next window to collect, already piping hot and bagged to go, we were handed 12 of the phattest cheeseburgers maccas has ever crafted, and let me tell you, the employee at the window yet again made us feel like we had struck gold - a jubilant smile and a glow from the golden arches that could start the next California gold rush.

The next time we come through, we will be calling ahead so we can get another...

I don't know what has happened here, but for the past couple of years, the service levels have gone down in this branch. I've been here when the main door was locked (after the advertised opening time), and long waits at the drive through order point. Today's experience has made me write this review. I know things have changed due to Covid, but.... I went to go inside. There is a sign saying "wait here to be shown to a table". So I did. I waited. No one came. I walked inside and started to order on the self service machine. Except I couldn't complete my order for eat-in because I didn't have a table number tent.... I went to the counter where I was happily ignored by the staff. I went back, cancelled my order and redid it as a take away, which I then are at a table.....

I'm still giving them 3 stars, because the food quality gas not declined, only the...

Never disappointed with the appalling service given by some of the staff here. Not all are bad and there are a few who are excellent and their customer service is amazing. Unfortunately others let them down. Approached the drive through post on the left as the right was occupied, waited - a car drove up to the right and their order was taken. Waited some more and ANOTHER car pulled up and the staff member proceeded to take their order, at this point we just drove round. No apology and the staff member got really confused and couldn't find the order. Finally located and still no apology. At least the order was correct and the server was friendly and competent. Had the biscoff frappe - tasted of cream with a hint...
