A brilliant community hub pub, with a different offering to the norm - fresh, healthy, locally produced and organic food served by genuinely happy people who really care about what they are doing! The drinks are also from local providers where possible (the cider is great!), served alongside ethical brands such as Karma Cola. The space is clean, homely and inviting and the atmosphere is chilled and relaxed; there is parking, a garden, cosy snug rooms and a meadow area with options for camping. During the non-pub hours the rooms are used for classes including yoga and ladies choir, so that the Cross Keys is more than a traditional pub. Many staff are volunteers as they believe in the vision, and there is great conversation. A model that could be rolled out all over the country!

What a find! I was just looking for a place to pitch my tent for the night but found this gem of a community project pub with a wild flower meadow where you can camp. Plus the was a biker night to boot! The Ghanaian curry was amazingly delicious 😋

It was my first time at cross keys and I feel inspired to leave my first ever Google review! Menu was simple but everything appealed. I settled for a recommendation from another diner…. Ghana chef- amazing mackerel curry, really incredibly tasty with different textures and excellent value. Washed down with locally brewed lager.

The smaller bar was buzzing with a darts competition going on in a neighbouring room and the main room was filling up with some local talented folk arriving with an array of instruments for the fortnightly open mic… It had such a friendly feel. The music and poems recited were wonderfully calming and entertaining. Thank you for creating this unique and wonderful place. May you...

Local pub to me and it’s absolutely what everyone in the area hoped it would be. Friendly vibe, community space and so comfortable to sit for an afternoon Bev or for the evening. The staff are super friendly and it feels like home away from home. So proud of the work that went into rebuilding this pub for the community and thankful for everybody who has worked hard to make it the pub we all hoped we’d have back again ❤️ food is delicious, healthy and great value and the drinks are all locally sourced. We’ll done...
