This place is horrendous, we went today for some breakfast, there were 4 of us, one of my children is diabetic so we went to sit down to check his blood sugar levels. Once we were sat down the cafe manager/owner shouted at us to get up and join the queue. This totally embarrassed us as everyone in the cafe turned to look at us, my diabetic so also suffers with autism so this made him very uncomfortable. The manager 'explained' to us that we couldn't sit down until we had ordered our food. Ok, so we join the queue. A minute later another couple walked in, one of them joined the queue while the other sat down. We were then told that this was fine as they were from an older generation and may need to sit down urgently, fair enough, 5 minutes later more people came in and sat down without joining the queue first, nothing was said to them, why were singled out? As we were leaving, we said to one of the staff members to say how unhappy we were with the service, that we were shouted at and belittled in front of a cafe full of people. we then left. The manager then chased us out into the car park to again shout at us that how dare we upset his staff like that!! This is unacceptable, we had 2 young children with us and they were very frightened by the whole ordeal. We used to love coming here for breakfast as a treat every now and again, but now we will never visit again and I strongly encourage anyone reading this to think twice before giving this business any of your hard...

Read moreThe Waterfront Diner features Beautiful surroundings making it no surprise that it is always busy. In my experience you don't have to wait too long to be welcomed in but covid precautions are taken seriously which restricts seating options. Capacity is still generous, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Though the menu is restricted, there are choices that should please all. I personally experienced the best "small" breakfast, featuring bacon, egg, sausage, potatoes, fried toast, slices of toast and a choice of addition, I had mushrooms. Also included is a choice of tea, coffee or orange juice. When I went 2 of these meals came to £13. The portions are great and prices very reasonable, even cheap. Compared against the great quality of the food and drink, it truly is a bargain. The staff are warm and friendly, keen to help with whatever you need. Hygiene is clearly a priority and is maintained well. Overall, I would strongly recommend giving them a go. Take in delicious food and calm, picturesque...
