I ordered two full English breakfast yesterday (Friday 30th June)morning for myself and my husband. I did my best to chew my way through mine. Everything was over cooked and hard. The bacon was hard and covered in white stuff. The mushrooms were shriveled up and hard. The ends of the sausage were hard. The tomato was well on its way to being 'sun dried style' it was also hard. The eggs were hard and oily. Beans and hash browns were fine but I'm not really a fan of either. I got to a point where I couldn't chew any more when I noticed my husband had a beautifully cooked breakfast. How can 2 people on the same table who ordered at the same time get 2 completely different breakfasts? There were 3 members of staff chatting by the till. We were sat by the till. They were not very busy. Not one asked if everything was alright with our meal, it's very rare that I'm not asked most establishments do ask as courtesy. I was already feeling dissatisfied with my drink, which was a luke warm supposedly hot chocolate although the flavour was nice, it just wasn't warm enough.

We chose to go there because we had been in for lunch on Thursday. On paying I was given a keypad asking for a tip to be added, so I added a small tip. I was not asked to help myself to cutlery. We were sat outside and lunch was put in front of us. No cutlery so I got up from my meal and found some, I was sure if I was supposed to be helping myself, I then had to go inside searching for napkins. Lunch was pleasant my husband had a ploughman's and I had a Greek salad. Not really much in the way of service so on Friday I didn't add any.

There was a vast but not very nice selection of drinks for the non tea or coffee drinker. The farm shop next door has a lovely selection of local juices, which might have been a better option. Maybe they should go for quality not quantity.

I don't normally write reviews like this, they are normally positive. I might have excused the rubbish breakfast if the service had been better, or the non existent service if the breakfast had been as good as...

I would have liked this to be a 5 ⭐️ review. Having visited yesterday mid morning and enjoying a fabulous breakfast. After enjoying the frivolity of the football we were a little slower getting going and arrived at 11:36. Now admittedly we had misread the board and believed breakfast was served until 12:00. Sadly our fabulous vegan brunch could not be ordered. Now whilst we appreciate there is some time to be taken over swapping over in a small kitchen this wasn’t offered as an explanation we were just told no. Hubby and I had a chat and went back to the counter less than 10 mins later to be told NO you can’t order from the lunch menu until the clock strikes 12:00. Sadly we felt that the way this was handled was poor and decided to on this occasion take our business elsewhere. We were hungry and not swimming in time due to a veterinary appointment and this was inconvenient and not very kind. Being neurodivergent eating out is something I find very challenging and after enjoying it so much on Wednesday really wanted to support this local, independent business but left feeling very unappreciated. 🤷‍♀️ We would like to go back as the food was genuinely excellent but the attitude needs...

Booked afternoon tea, arrived and was told to sit anywhere as the tables weren’t reserved. We informed them we had made made a reservation so were then shown to a table and told to go to the counter. Went to the counter only to be asked to follow the waitress back to our table where she gave us a drink menu. The sandwiches and scones were brought out and were delicious the strange thing was there were two of us but we got three of each sandwich. Never got offered more drinks and had to go to the counter to ask about the cakes as they never arrived When the cakes were served they were cold as if they had just been taken out of the fridge or freezer. The quality of the cakes was awful: the Devon apple cake was far too spicy and the chocolate brownie was like eating a chunk of chocolate. To sum up the sandwiches and scones were lovely the cakes and service was awful Would not recommend and would not return. The garden centre also had nothing to offer in fact it looked like it was...

Worth the 25-Mile Ride! My close friend Kais and I cycled 25 miles just to try this place—and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. After such a tough journey, all I wanted was to sit somewhere relaxed and chill out, and that’s exactly what I got. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a fantastic young lady—Megan, I believe her name was. She was an absolute delight! Her customer service was top-notch: constantly smiling, incredibly friendly, and super chatty in the best way possible. She made me feel completely welcome, even though I was sweaty and probably didn’t smell the best after the ride. The food wasn’t fine dining, but it was exactly what my body needed—hearty, satisfying, and the perfect fuel for the trip back. All in all, if Megan is the one serving you, I guarantee you’re in for an amazing experience. Can’t recommend it enough!

Friendly welcoming staff, lovely venue and surroundings, delicious food and incredible coffee. I brought my partner and our son on mothers day for afternoon tea, and were blown away by the service, food and drink. Unlike other places, we had the choice of any type of coffee (latte, cappuccino, etc.) with our afternoon tea package. The coffee is fantastic, its supplied by an award winning company called Bomo. The food was lovely, came warm and cooked just right. There was so much of it we had to take a lot home with us (no complaints). The staff made sure to check their food was suitable for my partners intolerances (dairy), they went to great lengths to cater for us and it was greatly appreciated. Definitely 5 stars, would/will recommend to friends, we look forward to returning again soon.

Lovely aesthetic from the roadside. Especially in the evening when all the lights are on. We dropped in only for a quick refreshment on our way back home from the New Forest. The cafĂŠ was as you would expect. Nice chirpy atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately we felt the food was a little over priced. Looking at ÂŁ12+ for a sandwich, ÂŁ4.50 extra for it to come with chips. So we decided against. The garden centre area was nicely decorated, nice quiet atmosphere, plenty to look at. Toilets are situated outside, not an issue. And plenty of parking.
