Had a breakfast here last week , service good location fantastic, food ridiculously bad , had a breakfast on which I asked to replace eggs with something else but only allowed to replace with bread , they had no mushrooms ( which were advertised as being in the breakfast, no replacement offered ) I paid £1 extra for an extra slice of bacon , fry cost close to £10 for 3 piece of extremely well done (practically burnt) bacon 2 piece toasted very hard bread some small tomato and a leaf or two, seemed to be 3 ladies behind the counter and 1 guy who looked to be in managerial role , waited 15 minutes for this burnt offering and ate it as I was quite hungry . In fairness I was warned by others to avoid the food here but I kinda thought how bad can a simple fry be . I was wrong , the coffee was good and the setting great but the food , I was not impressed at all . The male toilet was blocked and not that clean . I feel it’s such a shame to have such a lovely location like the but serving food of that standard.

Fantastic place for families, couples, singles, Little gem we chanced across with the cafés nearby function. We had been walking in ravensdale Park area and were peckish. Plenty of parking, excellently well kept facilities. Massive play area, wooded walks, scenic drives. The menu had plenty of variety and was well priced. We were mightily impressed with their double burgers! And the fries are proper potato chips!! It was rather full but it was a Bank Holiday Monday, and there's an abundance of benches out in the court yard. Would highly recommend.

Visited Synge & Byrne at Kilbroney the other week and only gave it 4 stars and in response, the owner asked me for the opportunity to gave them 5 stars with another visit....so here it is, albeit it at Slieve Gullion. Great service from the team here, especially the young man on Friday 25th, who even showed me how to use Goggle to scan your QR code 😀 As an aside issue, any chance you could open a branch at Clotworthy House in the now Defunct Diana's cafe please, even though you have premises at Junction 1 😉

"To delight each and every customer that walks through our doors by the quality of what's on offer and the warmth of our welcome- Damien Garvey founder of Synge&Byrne" (Synge&Byrne website)

There was no warmth in my welcome at the Slieve Gullion branch when I arrived at 3.45pm yesterday to be met by a member of staff emphatically telling me "take away only take away only!"

Ok, it's 15 minutes to closing, that's fine. We'd just walked 13 miles in cold and rain on the Ring of Gullion Way and a take away coffee was just what we were after.

After getting our coffees, the same lady then came and harassed me for having the audacity to wait at a table as my wife used the toilet. "I told you take away only!" she moaned at me. I had to then justify the obvious that we were customers and my wife needed to use the toilet. Embarrassing in front of other seated customers nearby. Anyway, we left as soon as possible (which, incidentally, was still 5 minutes before your advertised closing time).

Obviously your staff are much more concerned about finishing and leaving work at 4pm than giving your customers a warm welcome during opening hours. Based on this experience, we...

Terrible experience, our order was brought to a table who ordered after us. They explained that it wasn't there order. The staff were flustered and confused then lifted the sandwiches off the plates and changed the salads and gave to us. The potato salad wasn't cooked properly and was hard. The coleslaw was dry with very little mayo. My son's wrap was just that with dry chicken no mayo. He took the chicken out and had one single wrap for his lunch. The staff brought us down two smoothies which were made, but we had ordered two innocent smoothies. They took the made up smoothies away but still charged us for them. The adults food was just ok but bit of a rip off. Definitely will not eat here again. Poor service, no ladies or gents for patrons. Staff needing training and food was...
