We visited here after seeing they have a new menu. We had two smash burgers and parmesan fries. The burgers had lovely flavours in them but we found the beef patties to be very, very thin. Our burgers seemed to be bulked out with salad and thick baps and at £9.50 each with no side it seems a little bit on the expensive side. The chips had to be re-cooked as the first batch were burnt and held alot of grease, however they had no bother or issues re-making them at all . They were cooked fine but the notion for them had gone. Cool wee place just outside Downpatrick on the Belfast Road. We had two coffees with two absolutely huge and very tasty scones, with supplied jam and butter (£13 something). The have a funky seated area and when we were there on Friday afternoon the kitchen was closed cos they were prepping for evening service. AVOID!! False advertising on website stating they are open 0900-1900 yet I arrived at 1502 to be told they closed at 1500. They still served customer in front of me though!! Angry and disappointed as was soaked through and made 30 minute diversion home just to try. Guy on desk had cheek to tell me to come back at 4pm to purchase food but was already soaked and wasn't for hanging about after the attitude. Will not be returning and definitely not...
