A good family Pub. Car park at rear. Right next to Gold Coast Holiday Park. Couple of bar staff quite rude but could just be their way or having a bad day. Dog friendly inside and out. Seating inside and out, also Conservatory with extra seating overlooking play area. 2 draught ales available on my visit and live music, female singer. Order food at bar by table number, collect your own cutlery and sauces. Food delivered quickly considering busy, presentation could be better but steaks were cooked as requested, Ribeye and sirloin and were very good. Menu a bit limited with specials sold out. Good experience would go again.

Best pub I have ever been to. It was homely, the music was all acoustic to go with the calm vibe. The people were super friendly and even though it seemed busy, they always had enough time to accomadate us. The food... My god. Best fish cake I have every had. The pigs in blankets were divine. Fiance LOVED his burger. Just kept saying different aspects of it was amazing. They said it was an hour wait on food. I'm not fussy but very thoughtful that they told us. Definitely was not an hour wait. More like half hour. I couldn't fault anything. Can't wait to go back on Sunday as it was just absolutely amazing.

Menu is lacking options. Food was very poor standard, low end prices but you would want a better quality meal. Even if we were to send the food back the replacement would be of similar quality! Fish cake dish says it come with a runny poached egg, you would want the main part of the dish to be good not a hard boiled brick! Every other element of the food was dry and just about edible. Avoid this place, better options locally.

We went for a meal there at night menu very poor no steaks or steak kidney pie i had fish chips of which could not eat as batter over done on top and under fish batter mushy my grand son had chorizo burger and as he was hungry ate it and was up all night with upset stomach my husband had sausage mash in Yorkshire pud it was inedible and he left it although I spoke to manager on site and he refunded 27 pounds although it had cost 54 with drinks and he apologised we came last year and the food and menus were a hundred percent better and was cooked to perfection we were on site and noticed how it had changed e.g.entertainment.bars.pool I realise there is a recession on but when you go on vacation to a place you have been to previously and enjoyed it and recommend it to your family and friends you get a shock how it has changed so drastically the accommodation was fantastic the entertainment team did there best with what they could do but when on holiday the bar closed as everybody left that was the first I ever saw as it was busy business this must show up on your takings we returned home on Friday instead of sat very disappointed i work in hospitality and live in Lincolnshire I believe my husband has forwarded a review and hope that you take these comments on board and answer these...

Would of given zero for food if I could. Where to start fish and chips probably the most simple dish to cook and serve in my opinion but my god batter really dark brown and tasted burnt the fish itself was a shade of beige. Fish I get in a inner city fish and chip shop is white and flakey not beige and dried stodge and this from a seaside area Side salad or peas? What a joke chose side salad came in the smallest pot ever no exspence spared. My wife had Pie of the Day Turkey in a White Wine sauce wit Mash again shocking the sauce had a zero taste of wine intact the pie was entirely tasteless the mash was cooked from frozen with no seasoning. The lad who collected our plates asked if we were done we said never really started it was tasteless and disgusting, he took our plates without a word of apology or I will tell chef (I hope he did cause he does not deserve that title) we walked out disgusted and will never walk in again. We are regular visitors to the area and have ate here before. Avoid at all cost go to Ship Aground instead or anywhere. God knows what the mother site of Golden Coast food is like I won't be trying it...

k so the bar service was great, really friendly and although one wasn’t that knowledgeable of the wines they served they were really friendly and helpful. We weren’t planning on ordering food but the kids were really enjoying the play area (a bit big for a 3 year old but good for our 7 year old) so we decided to order food... wish we hadn’t as now we won’t return. I had 2 children and a dog (dog friendly) but was told I had to sort out my own cultery etc inside but couldn’t leave all of them unattended- and the staff that delivered the meals couldn’t care less. Not only that but after paying £12.50 for some dirty fries they came without any of the toppings and was told that they will bring pots- fine again if they’d actually brought out what was meant to be on the fries - and when I pointed this out with the menu I was told to not be rude like a child and dont worry we’ll refund you- which isn’t really the attitude when you have a herd to look after! All in all great for a quick drink but otherwise save your money and go somewhere a little more friendly and accommodating....
