Hidden gem, I have passed by the sign for this place several times over the past 5 years, anyway yesterday saw the sign again, lunch from £5.99, being a true Yorkshire man, thought I need to pay this place a visit, glad I did Great price's, friendly staff and a fantastic location, only a single track road in and out, and very dog friendly Recommended, it's a yes from me and Wilbur

Beautiful spot. Very clean lakes, and the healthiest fish I've ever see. Great for families, beautiful walks thru the valley, have a brew, lots of parking, very quiet, I could sit with a book all day watching the fish, lazily cruising the lake, for me it's Eden, far from the insanity of the city. If you fish, I cant imagine a better spot.

Good cafe, atmospheric and serves tasty snacks (scones and eggs on toast were what we had). Coffee could have been significantly stronger (lattes etc), maybe have filter coffee or bovril next time. Worth a visit.

Recently came and visited with my daughter where we sat in the Lakeside calf and had a breakfast together. I'd have to say ordering the food was very, very slow and could have been quicker, but overall the staff are really friendly. The food was really nice and the atmosphere was fantastic. We sat outside where we could see other anglers fishing. It was a beautiful sunny day and it was just really really nice. I highly do recommend if you're not fishing even if you pop down there to have a breakfast...

Beautiful ponds with a river and trees cannot wait to see it in all its glory in the coming seasons as it will change each time. Food events are available take...

Actually the food was lovely, but I had viewed the menu online before visiting..which quite clearly stated 2 poached (or fried etc) eggs, 2 pieces of toast £3.50 ..add any other breakfast item for 50p, so added 1 piece bacon..also had a can of coke...came to £8.50....😗..that was one expensive can.of coke or the online menu is way out of date. Did ask.if I could have just one egg but was told "no, he won't bother heating up the pan...
