Would definitely recommend & will definitely return! We visited the White Bear on Saturday 19th August & we must say it’s one of the best meals we have had for a very long time! The food was amazing, the service was great & all in all it was such a lovely evening. Myself & my partner had the Brie in Parma ham & the Black pudding scotch egg to start, then the Belly pork & the Fillet steak for main, then the creme brĆ»lĆ©e & chocolate & hazelnut parfait for dessert. All six dishes were absolutely delicious, we couldn’t have been happier with our choices. We also had wine with our meals which was very high quality. We would 100% recommend the White Bear & will definitely be returning! Thank you to everyone at the White Bear!

They have an amazing view which my partner spent ages looking for a lovely spot for dinner, so we specifically drove here to dine with that view on a beautiful hot evening. We went inside to ask to take the empty table outside, and were told that food is not served outside. What a loss of an asset for the sake of a few steps and my picture says it all - empty tables on one of the best views we’ve seen. Really disappointed, we went to the Hardwick Inn which has a lovely outside eating area just not the same view.

Have been to this restaurant many times and it is always great. It is one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is traditional and great quality with generous portions. The staff, although young, have been trained in excellent customer service skills. There are fantastic views from the outside terrace. Will be back!

My two daughters (17 & 9) and I phoned the pub to see if any they had any availability at short notice a very kind lady advised they did and got us booked in, we arrived within 10mins to a very warm welcome by all the staff and showed us to our table our drinks order was taken and given time to look at the menu (we were spoilt for choice) we went for the soup of the day the beef and the chicken. Honestly it was the best beef I think I have ever had it was cooked to perfection (complements to the chef) and the chicken was beautiful my youngest daughter said. I would definitely go back when we are in the area again And would highly recommend The young and experienced staff are a credit to your business. Keep up...

So having lived down the road for 8 years and not even knowing they served food my husband booked us a table after doing his own research when I left it to him to arrange our rare evening out(this is never his job). Very very pleasantly surprised! If you love a traditional pub (I do) the interior is very charming and attractive, wood burners burning, low beamed ceilings and stone floors. The food is well priced and delicious, obviously all cooked from scratch on the premises and much better than your normal pub food, thoroughly enjoyed my seaweed and vegetable rolls followed by feta and beetroot wellington. We will definitely be coming again and...
