For a friends 76th. birthday we booked a table for 2pm. We were eventually seated at 3pm and received our pre ordered food at 3.15pm. Note the pub was over an hour late serving us.

The table had not been cleared or cleaned, and in all honestly it was not a great table- the extension really lacks character- it was akin to a porta cabin.

At 16:10 we had just finished our deserts and were still drinking a bottle of wine and talking. The were asked to leave the table as we were told it was booked for 16:30 and it needed cleaning. We refused stating we had not even had the table for an hour as it was late for use and we were finishing our wine. We were further told to finish the wine at the bar.

An argument ensued to which the persons who's birthday it was told the server to go away- she became very aggressive and we thought would physically remove him- luckily another member of staff shepherded her away before she became physical.

We left shortly after- we shall not return, if only for our safety!

The young lady in question was rather out of place compared to the other staff. the other staff were in black uniforms and well mannered, the lady in question was wearing black 'short shorts' and had a nose piercing plus kept French kissing (I presume her boyfriend) instead of serving.

It was a very disturbing and odd experience, like something from Fawlty Towers without the charm but with...

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at The Lytton Arms from start to finish, it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the service throughout the evening was impeccable.

A special mention has to go to our waiter, Raff, who was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, maybe not about coffee ā˜• šŸ˜‰. He made us feel welcome and well looked after, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. And a big thank you to Yani in the kitchen for going the extra mile and sorting out a bottle of prosecco for us to take home—such a thoughtful touch that made our night even more special!

Now, onto the food—simply outstanding. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the venison shepherd’s pie, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite was packed with depth and warmth, making it one of the best dishes we've had in a long time.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit, especially to try their highly recommended Sunday roasts. If they’re anything like what we had tonight, we’re in for a real treat!

If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers on both food and service, The Lytton Arms is the place to go. Highly...

My family and I booked a table at the Lytton Arms for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday (June 2025). What a fantastic experience. My family loved the location, the pub as always is amazing. The food was fantastic.

A special thank you to the lady serving us, she was incredibly friendly and helpful and really made it special for my Grandmother. They very kindly gave her a surprise desert which was very much appreciated by my Grandmother.

Everyone enjoyed the food, drinks and the service. It was a really fantastic experience and I was so pleased that the Lytton Arms were able to help us celebrate my Grandmother's 90th Birthday. I would 100% recommend this pub. I have been here many times in the past, the food atmosphere and staff/customer service is always fantastic. I highly recommend the pub and will definitely be back.

Thank you for helping us celebrate my Grandmother's 90th she & the family had an amazing time...

Wonderful Sunday roast with beautifully cooked meats. The choice was versatile with lots of options for both vegetarians and vegans too which was nice to see. The starters and desserts were delicious too and I couldn't fault them! The loss of the star is simply because we were waiting quite a long time after finishing courses for clean up and ordering from our attendant. We ended up using the app for food but the function for drinks wasn't available in the end so had to try and flag someone down. If you're not in a hurry the food and atmosphere is well worth the wait! Priced reasonably for the area and the staff are friendly if a bit slow (I will note bar staff were very fast with drinks and serving however, once we were able to get orders in).

Now im not usually a pub person however the lytton arms is my FAV pub in the world. Always greeted with a warm welcome and a bonus they are dog friendly (delphi is a VIP!) . Had the roast today and was one of the best roasts Ive ever had. Now the apple and pear crumble...i like a good ratio of crumble to fruit (at least 60/40 crumble loool) Ray the new landlord entertained my lunacy when requesting for this and honestly it is THE best crumble I have EVER eaten...i nearly cried! 🤣 ā¤ļø the list could go on with the amazing food...the truffle fries, the triple cooked chips, the burger! šŸ˜

We have just had the most delicious Sunday lunch at The Lytton Arms…we had the lamb sharer…I can honestly say it was the best Sunday dinner I’d ever had, the lamb just melted, the roast potatoes were perfection, crispy outside, fluffy in… The staff are so lovely, welcoming, friendly, easy to chat too…nothing was too much trouble for them…& Michelle was adorable & clearly cooks lamb better than anyone!! We will most definitely be back…such choices & even the bar snacks…I mean who wouldn’t love honey & mustard mini sausages with a drink!! Can’t wait for round two…thank you all…
