We had pre-booked a table for 6 on a Saturday night, we waited 40mins at the bar to be seated. When we were finally seated our drinks order was taken quickly but we waited over 20mins for our food order to be taken.
Pops and chutney tray were nice and came out quickly, no complaints about the other starters.
My main a Chicken Tikka Shishlik was very bland and boring despite it being a higher priced item. I tried someone else's vindaloo to get some spice, it was nicer but certainly wasn't hot enough to be a vindaloo. The pilau rice just seemed to be boiled rice with tumeric for colour, it wasn't fragrant and had no flavour. The Naans were undercooked and stodgy.
The restaurant acknowledged the delays by providing one free naan for a table of six, this was left uneaten because they weren't particularly good.
While we were eating a table next to us received a customer provided birthday cake with the staff singing happy birthday which was nice until the realisation was made that they delivered the cake to the wrong table spoiling the surprise for the actual birthday table who were still on their starters.
When the plates were cleared we requested the bill, this was not provided which meant another ten minutes at the bar waiting for it after waiting ten mins at the table despite it being the end of the night and very quiet by this point.
To top it all off the food gave me the runs and I've been ill for the 12 hours overnight because of it.
I'd avoid and...

Read moreDisappointing to say the least. Everything was stone cold so I had to reheat. The mushroom rice had zero flavour, the cheese and garlic naan was tough as old boots, the sag paneer was tasty, the pashwari naan tasted great in the middle but there was so little coconut etc and so much bread that it could hardly be described as peshwari naan. The chicken tikka was ok but mainly because of the strange green sauce (no idea what it was but it tasted pretty good) but the tiny and frankly sorry looking plastic bag of salad was so soggy and looked like it was two days old that it instantly went in the bin. We had so been looking forward to ordering after all the great reviews but it really wasn’t great at all. I’m now curious as to whether we caught a bad night or it really is all hype and no substance. Possibly the most disappointing take out ever. Very bland, lukewarm at best and just overall not great. Sorry but it’s a no from me and, I hate to say it but I’ve had better from the...
