Here is a glowing review for The Chequers: --- **The Chequers: A Fantastic Refurbishment with Classic Styling** I recently visited The Chequers and was thoroughly impressed by its recent refurbishment. The interior now boasts a fantastic revamp with classic styling, featuring a tasteful blend of green and brown hues. This welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for an excellent experience. The Chequers offers an impressive selection of beers, including the renowned Dunbar and Timothy Taylor's. For those seeking something different, their cocktail menu is a treat. Additionally, they have an excellent wine selection that will please any wine enthusiast. But the delights don't stop at drinks. The Chequers serves great food, presenting a modern British cuisine that is includes a fanastic pork belly for mains and very nice cheese cake . The new owners, from the same team that owns Cognito in Lincoln, ensure that you are assured of high-quality offerings. Overall, The Chequers is a must-visit for anyone looking for excellent drinks, delicious food, and a beautifully revamped interior. Highly recommended!

Visited on the 20th April, easter bank holiday weekend. I honestly can't believe how amazing the food, staff and service was. This place is highly reccomended . I just can't wait to visit again. I had the pie of the day(steak and mushroom) ,hubby had roast beef dinner. we also added cauliflower cheese as an extra. Bottle of wine. Them to puddings, I had cheese and biscuits, amazing hubby has homemade rhubarb and strawberry crumble. Both outstanding. Total bill £96, this was genuinely worth every penny. Its the best experience I've had in a long time. also allows dogs in the pub side which I think is amazing, offering water if needed.

A fantastic village pub. 12 of us booked in for dinner. Food was absolutely lovely. Returned 2 days later without a booking for New Year's Day brunch. Probably the best Full English I have had! The staff were very accommodating, especially as we hadn't booked and they had another large booking. No complaints, would definitely return and would highly recommend!

A Gem in Potterhanworth: The Chequers Pub Delivers on All Fronts! My recent visit to The Chequers Pub in Potterhanworth, Lincoln, was an absolute delight, and I can confidently say it's a true standout in the local area. From the moment we stepped through the door, every aspect of our experience was top-notch.

First and foremost, the bar staff's hosting is simply fantastic. They are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely keen to ensure every guest feels right at home. Their friendly demeanor and efficient service created such a positive atmosphere, making us feel like valued regulars even on our first visit. It’s rare to encounter such a perfect blend of professionalism and warmth.

And then there's the food – oh, the food! The quality of the dishes served at The Chequers is truly exceptional. Each plate was a testament to fresh ingredients, careful preparation, and delicious flavors. Whether you're after a hearty pub classic or something a little more refined, you can tell a lot of thought and passion goes into the menu. It's proper pub grub elevated to a gourmet standard, and we savored every bite.

Finally, the environment strikes a perfect balance: relaxing yet undeniably stylish. The decor is tastefully done, creating an inviting and comfortable space without sacrificing an elegant touch. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind with friends and family, enjoy a quiet meal, or simply soak in the pleasant ambiance. The thoughtful lighting, comfortable seating, and overall aesthetic contribute to a truly enjoyable setting.

In summary, The Chequers Pub is a must-visit. With its superb bar staff, outstanding food, and beautifully appointed setting, it offers a thoroughly enjoyable experience that leaves you wanting to return. Highly...

Had a booking for 10 people today for Sunday roasts so they were expecting us. Bar staff friendly getting drinks but thats where it went downhill rapidly. Starters came after a long wait, mismatched portion sizes of prawn cocktails, had to ask for butter and lemon wedge. No butter with pate either. Mains took over an hour and came with raw, lukewarm veg. Some plates missing carrots, some broccoli, some Yorkshire pudding (which were flat and greasy) very watery greasy gravy and extremely small portions. Half my Lamb was fat and inedible as was all the raw veg. The raw, water logged cauliflower cheese turned up well after we had raised our concerns. The staff looked embarrassed at the state of the food leaving the kitchen and we left having only paid for the starters but everyone had to seek food elsewhere enroute home. Terrible food in an otherwise nice surrounding. Avoid until they sort it out...
