Another little gem. This community pup seems to exemplify how a community managed pub should be run. Immediately welcoming on a busy night (we booked a table), the bustling bar offered a great selection of beers wines and spirits, including my old favourite Marstons Pedegree. Table service was prompt and very friendly. Local regulars keen to welcome us, easy to talk to. We had steak and ale pie and pan-fried pork with noodles. Both beautiful and very generous. Pudding was treacle sponge and chocolate brownies. Sponge was velvety and buttery with a delicious treacle and butter sauce. Really lovely time and will come again. Highly recommend for a great night out in a traditional British pub. I am a wheelchair user but went on crutches. There are steps at the entry but a ramp is available making it accessible throughout. When door has a window in it dont leave dirty washing up on the side, dirty full bucket of floor water and dirty empty foil food trays on counters especially when the kitchen has been shut since the night before. I won't be eating there again. What a shame had high hopes that it was going to be better less travelling for me.
