Another little gem. This community pup seems to exemplify how a community managed pub should be run. Immediately welcoming on a busy night (we booked a table), the bustling bar offered a great selection of beers wines and spirits, including my old favourite Marstons Pedegree. Table service was prompt and very friendly. Local regulars keen to welcome us, easy to talk to. We had steak and ale pie and pan-fried pork with noodles. Both beautiful and very generous. Pudding was treacle sponge and chocolate brownies. Sponge was velvety and buttery with a delicious treacle and butter sauce. Really lovely time and will come again. Highly recommend for a great night out in a traditional British pub. I am a wheelchair user but went on crutches. There are steps at the entry but a ramp is available making it accessible throughout. I have no doubt that help would be forthcoming in spades if you needed it.

Fantastic new chef and all food is home cooked and delicious! Really recommend the Tandoori balti. They also have a smaller appetites section which was appreciated. We all enjoyed our food which was cooked perfectly. Fantastic team. A great example of how a community pub can succeed!

A great little country pub with fresh and tasty food ! One of the best home made steak pies I’ve had in a while !! It wasn’t too busy when we visited but the service was great and atmosphere was lovely and homely. I would definatly recommend a visit !

The food was so bad and when I mentioned it after being given just fat no meat they gave more meat with fat, the stater was fried batter there was no trace of tomato ,the chicken was so dry at this point I wanted to leave asked to take the pudding away , the rice pudding was awful 😢 I don't complain but I have complained and expressed how much money was spent, unfortunately there was nothing they could do ! I will not eat here again! 100 pound for nothing !!! As a community pub or just out of being a good establishment, there was nothing they...

Oh dear! New kitchen, old habits. When door has a window in it dont leave dirty washing up on the side, dirty full bucket of floor water and dirty empty foil food trays on counters especially when the kitchen has been shut since the night before. I won't be eating there again. What a shame had high hopes that it was going to be better less travelling for me. Ps wouldnt hurt the bloke behind the bar to crack a smile, you know create an ambiance. Oh well back to the...
