I have been coming here for a few years for my Sunday Lunch and realised I haven’t left a review. All I can say is
. ~ the best Sunday Roast in the area ~ locally sourced fresh ingredients ~ dog friendly ~ horse friendly (obv. outside)3 ~ piping hot food ~ excellent customer service ~ proper pub environment ~ friendly regulars ~ they do takeaways!!! Give it a try and you will not be disappointed. I really don’t believe the negative reviews and think some have been done out of spite. If you do your research you will know what type of pub this is. For example, the table of six, if you want quick, microwave, mass produced bland food go to a big chain. Also the person who had to “make do with a sandwich” from elsewhere, do your research. The person who was “always told to tell the truth” - I hope you were also told to “think before you speak” which also applies to what you write. These really aren’t good enough reasons to give an excellent small business below par reviews just because you didn’t get your needs met.

My mum lives in Essex and I took her here the week before Mother's Day for her Mother's Day lunch as I won't see her on actual Mother's Day. She was adamant she wanted a ploughman's so we found this little gem and she was definitely not disappointed! My son is 2 and has signs of Autism, the staff ( especially the lady cooking ) were fantastic with him when he was having a meltdown ( which soon resolved). He liked her apron so she brought out a spare apron for him to look at. The food was fantastic, the locals were very friendly and we definitely be returning. Very reasonably priced as well. Situated in a beautiful little village, I cannot fault our experience here at all. Thank you to all of the staff 😊

This place rocks... Great entertainment. Love it when they have their outside summer events as the whole village comes out to celebrate and it's fabulous.

Parking available but small carpark.

The staff are lovely and always welcoming.

Lovely country pub đŸ» 💕

If you go please be considerate to the people that live near the pub and don't block drive ways however as there's plenty of room alongside the pub on left side of road to park.

There is a lovely park on the right side to walk to and it's really pretty, beautiful area to walk around and very friendly people that will always say hello to you.

Love this place and...
