Disappointing food choices and set-up. Only things on offer were either cold pre packed sandwiches or a hot dinner with a choice of unappetising salads. The cakes were also unappetising- all small slivers of cake etc. in plastic packaging, like buying in a supermarket. Enjoyed this offering for over 20 years! Many improvements during that period. Some say expensive however, quality is better than National Trust. 10/10 for hygiene and service. Only criticism.. wish it was open 12 months a year and that they offered a very expensive and exclusive afternoon tea in a special location, at the Hall, for those special occasions. Hideous place, called in for coffee and cake. Striped £6 to simply park and found a horrid self serve style canteen more reminiscent of a motorway stop. £4.50 for pre wrapped slivers of cake.
