Walked up from our hire boat, moored at Ludham Bridge on a Monday evening, as the nearest pub was shut and we really fancied a pub meal. The walk took approximately 25 minutes, down footpaths, fields and roads (more fun coming back in the dark). Arrived at approximately 19:30 and the pub was busy, although we were able to find a table easily. We had a friendly welcome from the staff, got a round of drinks - coke and three cask beers (two Adnams and an IPA) for £16.10. The menu had a decent choice at reasonable prices. My pulled pork burger (£14.95) from the specials menu was really tasty, with crispy spicy fries, the tenderest pulled pork and wonderfully satisfying, especially as it was cold weather. My three friends had a Southern Fried Chicken Burger, a Roast Pork dinner and Pie of the Day (a beautiful short crust, home made tray pie). We all shared some Halloumi Fries from the starter menu. It was difficult to say who had the best dish. Each of us received a beautiful portion of lovingly made home cooked food. Kids and dog food menus are also available. Excellent service from the staff. Lovely pub, with warm, friendly staff and clientele. Will definitely return again when I'm back in the area.

Solid experience overall. Sat outside to make the most of the beginnings of summer. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday afternoon. The playground looks good and I'm sure kids will have a great time. Was pleased to see the doggie menu! The food was okay. The mixed meat burger was a bit overdone but still enjoyable. Chips and wedges were good. Good peas. Ham, egg and chips was nice. The cheesy baguette with Stilton was okay but the Stilton overpowered the rest of the cheese. Had to knock a star off though as the service was a bit awkward and the person on bar didn't have the information they needed about specials (ie. they weren't familiar with them or whether they were available when we ordered).

This has to be one of the best pubs in the area, I have been on 2 boating holidays recently on the broads & visited the Kings Arms 4 times. Staff are friendly (I seem to keep catching Heather on her shift 5 stars for her) the happy atmosphere is noticeable by the way all customers (both local & holiday makers) all seem to be chatty & friendly. Dogs are made welcome. All areas are clean Bar, Restaurant, garden & toilets (I never went in the ladies) Very busy on food & I never heard 1 complaint just praise for it. See you next time I'm up from the New Forest. (so be warned lol) Back for the 3rd year running, we come too the broads twice a year and visit 2 or 3 times every visit...

Now this place is a bit of a gem. Right in the centre of a small Norfolk village that really doesn't look big enough to support the Kings Arms: And yet in the last three weeks that very observation has been proved completely wrong on four occasions! Just a short walk away is a campsite we found and have stayed on for a couple of weekends. It therefore seemed absolutely the right thing to support the local hostelry and I'm so glad we did. Good beer, great food, reasonable prices; always a winner. Between the two of us, we tried Scampi, Chicken burger, Smokey Chicken, Lasagne and Sunday (and Wednesday) Carvery's (available 12-7). Everything was perfect with huge portions, all hot and with a short delivery time. The service is good with a great team of staff who seem to like ther work. Food can be eaten in the restaurant or bar but be aware that even on a Sunday around 5, the bar was rammed! Also there is a jukebox which we found on at least one occasion constantly competed for audio superiority with the many Sky Sports tv's around the place. We witnessed a couple of old boys who had to ask to change dining table due to being right beside a blaring tv, with a jukebox speaker in the ceiling above their table - not my idea of ultimate stereo either. I'm a little biased as I'm not a fan of tv's in pubs, especially showing football, but I understand the need to maintain revenue stream and a lot more people enjoy 'the beautiful game' than don't. I've given a solid 5 stars because the tv and music issue is more my problem than the establishment's and all the other benefits outweigh that by a mile. The campsite is shut now until 2025 and I'm wondering where we will find a place quite like the Kings Arms within a very short walking distance, for the...

Very good food and reasonable priced. I don't like negative reviews but I do have one little niggle when I visited this establishment. Me and my guests on a broads holiday visited this pub for the second time in the day for an evening meal. The weather was iffy, so we enquired if a table was available for a party of 6. They accommodated us without problems. During our delicious meal, one of the staff put a reserved sign on our table indicating that we had 30 minutes to vacate the table. We were half way through our main meals. We did finish our meals, but was then asked to vacate the table 10 minutes before the reserved time and so was unable to order dessert. Yes I was offered an apology but was informed that the table was booked and that a reserve sign was placed on the table prior to our arrival. This isnt the case, the staff member that directed us to the table showed us this was available as no reserved sign was on the table. Even the staff that took the order 30 minutes before the food was delivered even requested what table we was on and made no indicationthat it was already booked. This member of staff was the one to make me and my party vacate the table. So, I would suggest that you get food in this establishment, but be prepared to leave for over booking an not enough time to eat your...

Walked here from ludham moorings, about 10 min pleasant walk. Found the service to be good, staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers. Inside eating areas looked clean and generally OK. Rear outside area felt a bit like a play area so probably not for people without kids. The outside area at the front was nicer for adults. The menu is great, we went on a Sunday so as well as the carvery there was the normal menu and a specials board. We had the carvery, it was the best carvery we've ever had! Well done to whoever decides on the menu, beef rib joint cooked beautifully rare and obviously great quality, another beef joint cooked more well done, pork, 2 x different types of gammon and I think there was chicken as well. The veg and extras were amazing as well, roast potatoes, leeks, cauliflower cheese , great yorkshire puds.....and everything else you could wish for with a roast! Massive pat on the back for the chef who obviously knows how to cook joints of meat! Can't wait to go back for another carvery or try the main menu. Also incedible looking cakes/ deserts on offer.. gutted I was too full to try any. Dont expect luxurious surroundings, but please go to try the food, I can't imagine anyone who knows and loves great pub food to be...
