New inn roughton — Restaurant in North Norfolk

We had a little road trip up the coast and while heading home our little one needed a emergency nappy change, we pulled into the pub carpark and started. Just as we finished the lovely lady from the pub popped out to say we could use her bins to dispose of the nappy. I must admit... when i heard her start speaking to my husband my stomach dropped thinking we were being told off for being cheeky using the carpark, but the lady was so kind and offered to help us even though we werent patrons! The chef is lovely - wonderful and full of fun - in fact her food is splendid! BUT - The staff service isn't so good and It's not that they don't get your food right for you because they do and it's pleasant food - but - it's the air of attitude when being served, not a smile, dead-pan looks, huffing and puffing when orders aren't forthcoming, things being too much trouble! I.e. The veggie roast being identical price as the vegan roast - my friend asked for one extra potatoe as the Yorkshire pudding is a no go and it just seemed an issue. 4 in our party arrived for a drink and was kept waiting at the bar for 10 mins no sign of any staff when he did appear he huffed and puffed and it felt that we were a burden on him !! the place was dirty so we sat in the garden . decided to order a takeaway was told no takeaway until after 8pm so we sat and had another drink after 8pm we went in to order and was told no takeaway food as there was a party . very rude dower staff who could care less wether we used the pub again so ..... we didnt we took our money and time elsewhere and actually spent 120 pounds on lovely food at the roman pub further on outskirts of the place. never again would we...
