Fantastic experience for my parents wedding anniversary. We booked up a day in an advance for a mid-week lunch for 8 people and we'l were given a nice space. The menu was really varied, lots of different options with some regular favorites and some more unique dishes such as a picnic table or the Thai red curry pie! & the desserts were awesome! As a vegetarian, I was really happy with a few different options to choose from rather than just a standard veggie burger. Everyone in our party was really happy with their meals and we felt very looked after by the team. We were also popped over some colouring stuff for my 2 year old which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend for a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food thats much more varied than a traditional pub. Would 100% visit again.

Call in on the way back from the coast having noticed it earlier in the day. Made to feel very welcome, ordered Sunday dinner which was served with plenty of veg, cauliflower cheese & extra gravy! We just managed to finish it, but due to the quality felt it was only right to try puddings too! This was the right choice, because the caramel & vanilla cheesecake and the treacle tart were excellent! šŸ‘

Booked two days in Motorhome lovely location immaculate site for van at back of restaurant, has ehu, water and waste disposal shower and toilet basic but more suited to the better weather, we had a taco meal which was really nice and very large portions and a couple of drinks then off to the van would recommend and will no doubt return cheers Barrie.

Liked: We loved the site, location to beaches, not far from Holt, Wells or Fakenhan. The site was small, intimate and located at the rear of a lovely Pub/Restsurant. Our pitch was a great size for our 6m x 4 m tent plus car. The toilets, showers and washing- up facilities were clean and tidy, butter than many sites I have visited nearby.

Great selection of beers, in the pub, the food was outstanding. My wife had the Gyros which she loved and I had the Shawarma kebab with a delicious salad. Deserts were lovely too with a great selection of homemade treats. Prices were very reasonable for the portions size , my kebab was one of the best I ever tasted, moist ant full of flavour.

Site was well secured too which was reassuring. Very dog friendly site and in the bar too so you can take your porch in when you eat. Staff were very friendly, attentive but not ā€˜in your face’ as some places are.

We will return here next time we camp in the area for the food alone as it’s worth the two hour trip.

Disliked: WiFi only worked in the pub but that’s fair enough as we were not expecting...

Liked: Excellent food in bistro. Small site looked clean and tidy with well kept grounds.

Disliked: Only 2 showers, one of which was literally just a shower, no loo to have a wee first or sink to clean your teeth or mirror to have a shave, not even a chair to put your clothes on. Neither shower room had heating and you are given a key to the shower or toilet so had to lock after use so no air flow and therefore damp and musty. When mentioning this to the owner when leaving he said " no there's no heating" and turned and walked away while still talking. He was not very welcolming on arrival and whenever we saw him we were reminded to lock the gate after you leave. We are adults and didn't need to be reminded. Not sure if he just had a bad weekend because other reviews were positive about the owner but this is not what we found. Very noisy road early morning. Think he's missing opportunities as wouldn't stay open for football final and advertised breakfast but doesn't open for it. Could be a lovely site with a few...

Stayed at this campsite last week. I booked this direct with owner few weeks beforewho gave me price but said he did not need deposit. When I rang to reconfirm week before owner had no recollection of booking and asked me what date I booked and what price he had quoted me. He eventually found my booking and said he had quoted me really cheap and he must have been having a bad day! On arrival I was greeted with ā€œ0h you are the ones who got it really cheapā€ and repeated this on every conversation we had with him during our stay and was not particularly friendly. Fellow camper also said the same had happened to him too. If you are in pitch 9 or 10 please note this is thoroughfare to toilets, showers, wash up through your private pitch. A lot of road noise experienced day and night but location of site is good. Owner needs to sort out his admin procedures and be more friendly towards campers. He also complained about his high electricity bills on...
