This review is for the restaurant only as we were non-residents. This is the second time we’ve eaten at The Ship at Weybourne and on both occasions, we’ve had a great meal and excellent service. Tip: be sure to book as the restaurant is extremely popular at peak time. Also, be patient and have a drink in the bar if your table is not ready at your booked time. The slight wait will be worth it. We ate on a Friday evening at the beginning of September. We’d booked for 19h45 and we had a 5-minute wait while our table was being set. No problem, we were guided to our table and seated by one of the friendly, efficient and very busy hostesses. The pub has a festive atmosphere. It also has a dog-friendly section which we purposely avoided. Food quality and portion sizes are excellent and are served on colourful plates (see the photos which don’t really do the food justice). We shared two starter portions of whitebait for a starter which was plenty for three. For mains, my wife had the chicken skewers which were tasty and tender. Our friend had the delicious special which was herb and parmesan crusted salmon. I had the duck breast which was perfectly cooked and served with with tasty croquettes. Sides are included with all menu choices, but extras are available. All the food being served to other diners looked great. For dessert we all had different flavours of local Norfolk ice cream which was super. Overall value is very good. This restaurant deserves to be as popular as it clearly is. 5-stars all round.

We've been here several times before and loved it, so booked again for Friday 8th March 2024. We shared the Ciabbatta and oil along with the Seafood Chowder which came with its own bread. Very tasty and I don't normally choose the fish dishes, so that's high praise indeed! I had the Minted Lamb Suet Pudding from 'today's specials' and my wife had the Slowly Roasted Rolled Pork Belly (both meals pictured). Both dishes were exceptional, super tasty and the cooks/chefs deserve a big pat on the back. The portions were large too, hence we couldn't manage pudding! The Wherry bitter that I had is also worthy of a mention and I would've had more if only I wasn't driving. There seemed to be a dog friendly part of the pub and another part where dogs weren't allowed thereby keeping everyone happy. At the rear there is a beer garden, but we didn't investigate as we had a table booked indoors. All the staff were polite and friendly and they worked well as a team. Inside the pub it was nice and cosy and appeared to be clean and in good order. The pubs car park was full after we nabbed the last space and didn't seem overly large, but I think there is other parking nearby. I would highly recommend this pub for its beer and food, but advise you to book early to avoid disappointment. We're certainly going back for further meals :-)

Whilst staying in North Norfolk nearby at Kelling Heath we had cycled past The Ship Inn and were intrigued to try it. We couldn’t get in for Sunday lunch but we booked for a couple of days later . On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table. We had booked a late lunch, Arriving at 14:15, we found out that the kitchen closed at 14:30. Much to the worry of my eldest who questioned if we would get any food ! We are never an easy crowd a)to please and b) for ease of order, so on this occasion we could have been pushing our luck . We needed not worry ,nothing was too much trouble, the GF options were aplenty, the nicheness of my daughters tastes taken down. When the food arrived we were all licking our lips ready to tackle the chefs treats. The fish and chips with the homemade chips and mushy peas were one of the best fish and chips I have had. Crispy and tasty. The GF version just as tasty with crispy batter and melt in the mouth Cod. The children’s meals were a good size and all homemade so fresh and tasty delights for them too . Local ales on tap to wash the tasty delights down with. Definitely be returning to sample more of the menu .

After visiting Sheringham and wanting a pub lunch that's dog friendly I did some research and found The Ship Inn. We even went out our way to this pub because it looked so good. The car par is a touch small but if people park correctly and with consideration all is good. There are a few tables outside the front door but at the bottom of the car park is a wonderful beer garden with around 13 tables or so and each has a unbrella for shade of the sun.

Drinks I had a pint of East Coast IPA which was really good. The wife had a Knob Creek Whisky and coke which was also good. The kid had standard J2O and the price was £7 which for today isn't to bad I think.

You couldn't keep a open tab which I normally like to do incase I can squeeze a extra pint in but each pub to their own but they missed out on my having another pint.

Moving to the food the wife had a Crab Sandwich on brown bread. It looked awesome and I had a bite for this review and it tasted as good as it looked. Wonderful fresh crab in a nice sauce and nice chunks of crab that hadn't been turned into a mush. Really really good. There was some crispy salad and crisps on the plate which made it enough for her. My kid had a Duck wrap with Hoisin Sauce which has cucumber and spring onion in there to. I didn't try that as the greedy guts wouldn't let me because it tasted so nice. This brings me to mine. I had a Crispy Prawn wrap with salad and a sauce. It was bloody wonderful!!! The crispy bread crumbs around the prawns was amazing and tasty. It really made the wrap perfect. I can't say how good this was you to have to try it yourselfs. To finish our meal I ordered a side portion of chips and a side portion of cheesey chips. These were chips with the skins left on for the fuller flavour and fried. Proper chips that seem to have been cooked in the good old fashion way.

The food cost me £27 which again I don't think is to bad. The staff were efficient and polite. The pub itself was clean and tidy and the fact when we left the pub beer garden was full of people with dogs made this a great place to be.

We liked it that much were going again. Well done to The Ship Inn.

Went back to The Ship again the next as we enjoyed it so much the previous day. I had a IPA but can't remember what it was called but it had elderflower in it and I also had a pint of Steam larger. Both were really good.

Food wise the wife had The Crab Sandwich which was just as good as yesterday and the child had a meatball wrap. Once again they wouldn't let me have a try for the review but it looked good and they said it tasted really good to.

Now for mine. I went for the Fish, Chips and mushy peas with tartare sauce and was not disappointed. I normally keep away from fish and chips in a pub because I tend to get bones which put me off but I risked it to see how good the place is. The result, 2 bones right at the end of the tale which is always a hot spot for fish bones. Apart from that the fish was perfect!!!! A real crispy batter that tasted oh so good. The actual fish was lovely and white all of the through and piping hot. This was all finished off with a fine tartare sauce. This was one of the best fish and chip meals I've ever had.

Not sure what it is around this area but are all mushy peas dry? I'm not complaining as I like them but from round my way they're have a bit more juice with them.

But overall this is one of the best little pubs I have been to and highly recommended...

What a find! Stayed for three nights' B&B this Easter. The Ship provides a warm, welcoming environment that's exceedingly clean and beautifully presented. The owners and staff are absolutely great and work as a very solid team, which is reflected in the friendly atmosphere.

Our room looked exactly like the promo shots, it was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, with thoughtful facilities. The comfortable king-size bed and pillows (a combo of medium- and soft-weight) came with good quality linen and duvet. The walk-in shower was great, the basin a good size (not one of those annoying ones you have to mop-up round after use!), and the perfect number of good quality fluffy towels were supplied. The room was quiet and, together with the blackout curtains, made for three great nights' sleep.

Breakfasts were excellent, and generous. Even the tea was good too (very rare)! After eating in the restaurant on night #1 we decided to do the same for the following two evenings. We did a pretty good tour of the menu and it was almost perfect, the service was certainly perfect. Although very busy and fully booked, B&B guests get preferential booking in the restaurant, but of course you do have to book ahead. The garden is quiet, well equipped with tables and beautifully planted.

This is a long review, I didn't want to miss anything(!) and know from experience how difficult it can be to find a good place where you'll feel gives good value for your hard-earned money. The Ship at Weybourne is a VERY good place, we will definitely stay...

We had a very good meal at this pub, and at that point we decided to book the same table for the following Saturday, which was our 20th wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the pub five minutes before we were due to be seated, we noticed that the table we had booked was occupied, so we asked the staff how long the table was going to be, only to be told that the pub PC software had re-allocated our table as we were just a party of two people!!! The alternative we were offered was a tiny round table, shoved between a table for four and a table for at least six, the latter being occupied by a family which were allowing their young children to run around the bar area! As the table we had originally booked was in the nice restaurant area to the rear of the pub, it is fair to say that we were seriously disappointed, and as we had stated when we re-booked the table that it was for a special occasion, the lady who took the booking never mentioned that we would not be able to have that table. What made it worse was the attitude of the chap behind the bar, he offered no apology whatsoever. Giving a review like this is a real shame, as the meal we had on our previous visit was very good and we were really looking forward to another nice meal there, and had it been any other day, we would have probably just accepted another table in a different part of the pub, but as we clearly stated it was our wedding anniversary when we re-booked, the outcome was totally unacceptable, and the staffs attitude has led me to write...
