Marlin fish bar — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

Although not very talkative, which is not always a bad thing, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is well cooked and plentiful, my personal favourite being their spring rolls. However product costs are becoming high! My favourite food from the Marlin Fish Bar is their spring rolls. In August they cost £1.20. The next time I went there they had gone up to £1.40 - well I suppose someone had to pay for the new signs they had done, so why not the customer? The last time I went to the Marlin was last Monday, 21st October and they had gone up to £1.90! If they carry on in this vein they will become too expensive for me to use. I know that prices have to be kept in line with the cost of living, but this seems a little too much. They have a lovely habit of giving customers a small tray of chips whilst waiting for their order, perhaps it might be more cost effective if they stopped doing this consequently keeping their...

Great place. Nice chips, reasonable prices. They always make sure you have a portion of chips while you wait. We (my family) sometimes receive a free bottle of coke with large orders. A while ago I knocked a full portion of sausage and chips from my girlfriend's hand (not too proud of that lol). Was quite embarrassing for the both of us, but our dialemma was quickly sorted as her food was replaced with no hassle or questions, even though they had no responsibility to offer us any help. I've never heard a bad word about this place from anyone, and you get great customer service. My one gripe with this place is that on occasion I have seen the same set of tongues used on raw chicken then straight away on cooked meat - haven't had any food poisoning here before but with this being done it is entirely possible I suppose.

Passing by on my way to deliver a mercedes to customers.. When I spotted the chip shop.. Was happy I had..whilst waiting I had been given a small tray with chips on.. That was a first..an the staff was lovely.. I'm glad I stopped him putting more chips on my tray as I'd already eaten.lol.. Mini fish an mushy peas.. Hope to pass that way again at dinner time..
