Bothy — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Went in on Saturday with my daughter and 2 young grandchildren in a double pram. Ordered coffees , hot chocolate for 1of kids and 2 buns. After paying i was informed that they would be in take away containers as they were shutting in 30 mins. Baby needed a bottle so my daughter was feeding her when shutters were put down and flors mopped around us. Staff could clearly see that baby was taking a bottle. To say my daughter felt pressured was an understatement. We could not eat either bun as they were totally stale. I informed the staff this and was told that they shouldnt be. She could see them on plates untouched. No offer of a refund . I will not be back. If a coffee shop do not want customers in still drinking goods that they purchased- then they should stop serving at a certain time or pay their staff to stay until customers are finished ! I have never been in a premises that have stood around pressuring us to get up and go, especially with a newborn...

Had a horrendous experience at Bothy today. Ordered my food and drinks which came brought to the table. Was all very nice. So nice we decided to buy more drinks. 1 tea and 1 coffee. My mother is 75 and needed warmed up so I went up and ordered her a tea first of all. The lady serving me said no problem we will bring it over to you. I waited 15 minutes and no tea.. baring in mind I didn’t say hardly any other customers come in. I went back up to order my coffee and check on my mums tea, the tea was lying on the counter and the lady just said there it is…..so I took my mums cold tea down to her and ordered my coffee. My mum drank her whole tea in about 17 minutes and then I realised I never got my coffee which I had paid for. We just left. Totally annoyed and upset I had to chase so hard for 1 tea and 1 coffee in a shop not busy…..and you still owe me for the coffee I paid for...

Was here on Saturday with my husband and daughter. Have to say we were not impressed at all. Girl on the till had the personality of a wet mop. Please train your staff in the correct way to speak and interact with members of the public (if you want those people to come back) We ordered a Cappuccino, a Latte, tea and traybake. While my daughter and I sat down my husband waited for our order. After a substantial delay a pleasant young chap appeared with a tray and carried it to our table. Surely if this is normal service the girl on the till should have told my husband to go to out table. Unfortunately I cannot say the coffee was worth the wait. What was supposed to be a Latte and a Cappuccino turned out to be 2 white coffee. No nicely layered Latte in a tall mug and no nicely frothy cappuccino. They were both exactly the same.

I can honestly say we will not...
