Nice cafe in a courtyard, just across the road from Portaferry Castle. The food and coffee are excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. There's indoor and outside seating.

The ambiance and location is amazing. There's is limited menu and the service was excellent and fast. Really welcoming and everything arranged well.

Sandwich and Caesar salad were very good and cheap. Staff was friendly. Nice place for a quick lunch or breakfast.

Absolutely the worst breakfast place I’ve been to!!! Only wants to cater to locals. We arrived in just before 12 midday and then waited to get the menus. Only two of us very hungry tourists!! Menus arrived at 12:15. Two local girls arrived after us. The very pleasant young man serving said they were very busy and it would be a while. However we could see that everybody had their food except two local girls and our good selves. Imagine our shock to see the locals breakfasts brought out. Where was ours? Nowhere to be seen. We waited five more minutes and then had enough. I got up with money for the tea and coffee we had drank ages ago. I then complained to one of the staff about serving people who’d arrived and ordered after us. She said she’d get the boss. The owner of the business appeared by magic. We’d seen her earlier just standing around chatting to the other tables when she should have been in that kitchen cooking the breakfasts. Now, I’m in the trade myself, and I spent two years in a high pressure quality bistrot that tan an extensive breakfast menu. Obviously this woman does not need to earn much money, it can only be a hobby for her where she gets to Lord it over her visibly long suffering and stressed out staff, cozying up to the local clientele and ignoring the hungry tourists. We will never be back, and we advise anybody reading that are not local to the area to avoid this place like the plague. You’ll only be frustrated, disappointed, and ultimately left starving if you drop into...

My dad and I come here every Sunday for brunch and love it! In relation to the 1 star review by Stephen mcilroy I was actually in the cafe when this happened. He went into the area where the staff work and started to shout and yell at the staff. Then he yelled in the managers face calling her a bad boss and pointing his finger in her face. May I add he yelled in front of young kids also who I'm sure didn't have a clue what was going on. He said he worked in this industry I'm sorry but how you got on is absolutely shameful and unacceptable. Have you ever made a mistake with orders or are you Mr Perfect? I would like to add therese apologised and said the food was coming out. Therese works hard alongside her staff and is one of the most kind and caring people I have met. Food is always amazing and the staff and therese are always so so welcoming not just to "locals". Do not listen to his 1...

This is a friendly, well run cafe situated in a small courtyard opposite the aquarium. It offers a good selection of cooked breakfasts which are all freshly prepared, and piping hot. On this occasion Alison had the small fry which is substantial, and I had the potato bread stack as in the photos. A good start to any day and with a warm friendly atmosphere I've found non better in this part of the country. Well worth a visit for brekkie or...
