Be careful, check tubs before leaving the shop. Mistakes do happen and then an apology and smile is enough for us long term Maud users.

Instead having Paid £25 for ice cream including 2 x 1 litre tubs of Pooh bear, I got home to find one was completely wrong. On return to shop, the girls treated me as though it was my mistake. Having waited for a new tub to be made up, it was dumped on the table with ‘there you go’. Not sorry for your inconvenience. I appreciate they are busy, poorly paid and it’s not their life’s ambition but a smile and pleasant manner fix...

This is a little gem of a place - very family orientated with of course Mauds Ice cream but also a fantastic array of sweets in traditional 'glass' jars and great 'home made' cakes and scones.
