Nickys Deli & Bistro — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Family restaurant and been here a few times with no issues but met owner on this occasion who was extremely rude, shouting and banged the door on a customer because of a misunderstanding.

Difference was customer was ethnic minority.

The customer had a little argument with a staff member and your man comes up and first thing tells customer is: “did you come here in a bad mood?”, followed by, “I’ve been watching you every time you come here”

Did you watch the customer because every time they came in, they were the only black people in your restaurant???. How creepy is it to tell a customer you’ve been watching them???. Then proceeds to shout at them and bang the door after they left.

To be clear, this rude staff member is a new face that I’d never seen before. The other restaurant staff are always very professional and provide amazing service.

This is the 21st century and regardless of what this man thinks, it can never be an acceptable behavior to shout and curse on paying customers even if you think they are not good enough to dine in your restaurant.

Food is always spot on. Like the consistent standard. Breakfast wrap with onions and cheese is my fave. Good portions. Cooked perfectly. I sometimes make little changes on my order and they always do them. Some places don't read the notes. Food comes promptly and is fresh. Every time. We always get from here. Tried a good few places & by far the best in Dunmurry.

Edit: we went INTO shop for a change from delivery. Busy. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Chips were delish...no pics we scoffed them! V clean. Food came fast. Pancakes are HUGE. No pics...they got mauled! Delicious. Well worth a visit. Easy parking...

I had been once before and it seemed ok. Food & the servers had been nice. However the last time I was there; the male owner was extremely aggressive, threatening and rude to a customer over what seemed so trivial.

Seems like an unpleasant individual whose demeanour looms large over the place - maybe a security role in a nightclub would be a better fit for him. We won't be back as a result of...
